Beomgye pasta restaurant with dim-lit seats: Two Find Peter Anyang

Two Find Peter Beomgye Branch is a Western restaurant on the 5th floor of Park Avenuel, 300m from Exit 3 of Beomgye Station in Anyang, Gyeonggi. From a table in the restaurant's dim-lit section, the writer ordered spicy crevit pasta at 16,000 won, cream chicken steak at 19,000 won and shrimp basil oil pasta at 16,000 won, with a Terra draft beer. Alternating between the spicy crab pasta and the mild cream chicken steak kept the meal from ever feeling heavy.

Gwacheon hanjeongsik lunch set with soy crab, ₩23,000: Najumyeonok

Najumyeonok Gwacheon Branch is a hanok-style galbi (grilled short rib) and hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) restaurant on Chanumul-ro in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi. The weekday-lunch-only galbi hanjeongsik, ordered for two people, came with grilled galbi, sweet pumpkin porridge, soy-marinated crab, doenjang soup and naengmyeon (cold noodles) to finish, at 23,000 won per person. The galbi is grilled to order, so leave extra time for the wait — but the set is generous for the price.
