Today's an honest review of the choco cake I ate at Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo 💗 A cake café I love opened in the basement of the Galleria right near my home, so I stopped by! This is my third visit, haha.
Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo: location and opening hours
Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo is at 124 Gwanggyojungang-ro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi, on the B1 floor of Galleria Gwanggyo, and it's open 10:30-20:00. Takeout and reservations are available, the restrooms are separate for men and women, and you can park in the Galleria's underground parking.

Inside Café Diaz on Galleria Gwanggyo's B1 floor
Café Diaz is famous in Suwon as a top cake spot, and since it's inside the B1 floor of Galleria Gwanggyo, I drop by often! There's also a seating area beside the shop where you can sit and drink, so it's perfect for a after-meal treat.
It's autumn, so Café Diaz is running a green tangerine (cheonggyul) seasonal menu, and it has signature coffee drinks too. I tried the Diaz signature latte before, and maybe because they're a cake shop, the cream is seriously good!
I hear Café Diaz uses fresh domestic eggs in all its cakes! Since they use such good ingredients, the whipped cream is amazingly tasty too. They also have a review event: review 3 places and you get a free mini cake 👍🏻 (total bargain!!)
Café Diaz menu: signature lattes and cake selection
The menu at Café Diaz Galleria Gwanggyo covers coffee, drinks and tea, plus signature coffee drinks! I've tried most of the signature line, and they're good enough that I keep coming back, haha. Personally I love the ice cream latte and the signature cream latte!!
The cakes look gorgeous too, right? There are whole cakes, fruit cakes, even tiramisu! The fruit looks super fresh and piled so high you can't even see the sponge 🤤
Café Diaz mini cakes for light eaters
Café Diaz has lots of mini cakes too, like fig, mango and chocolate, so they're perfect with coffee! I eat small portions but love trying lots of flavors, so I prefer ordering several mini cakes, hahaha.
Friends could also buy mini cakes individually and share a piece each!! The flavors are so varied that buying them by the slice and eating them like a whole cake would look pretty too 🍰

Chamomile tea at Café Diaz: a good pick after coffee?
I'd already had a cup of coffee before coming, so I ordered chamomile tea at Café Diaz! It's a mild tea that's simply nice, and easy to sip lightly on a day you've already had coffee, haha.
How sweet is the Café Diaz choco cake?
The chocolate on top of the Café Diaz choco cake is sweet enough to charge you up with sugar, while the bottom is gently sweet, which was just right! As someone crazy about sweets, I'd say it's not super!! sweet, just pleasantly sweet, so it suited me perfectly.
The sponge under the choco cake is very soft, and the mild chocolate whipped cream pairs perfectly with coffee. The cream doesn't taste cheap; it's a sweet, rich cream flavor 🍰 I think you could order it for your parents' birthday too 🎉
The top is sweet, about right for when women crave something sweet!! It's not super sweet ><!!!, so I think any age group would be fine, haha. Personally I love Diaz cakes so much that I hope everyone tries them at least once!! The ingredients are good and the taste feels upscale, so it's great for anniversaries too 🥰
