Ara-dong, Jeju restaurant for a spinach pasta lunch set: Cultured
In short
Cultured is a pasta and pizza restaurant in a residential part of Ara-dong, Jeju City. On a Jeju trip, the writer had the Cultured lunch set (salmon salad, spinach pasta, gorgonzola pizza, apple juice and tangerine juice), and the public car park in the back alley plus high chairs made it easy to visit with a child. The Cultured lunch set is a good-value lunch for two that covers everything from salad to drinks in one order.

While wondering where to eat lunch on our Jeju trip, we ended up at Cultured (컬쳐드), a good-value place where you can enjoy pasta and pizza together. We ordered the lunch set, which nails both price and taste. The menu is generous and everything was so good that I'd love to stop by again next time we're on Jeju!

Where is Cultured in Jeju City?
Cultured is in Ara-dong, Jeju City. Looking around, it seemed more like a residential neighborhood than a tourist area. You know the real gems are in residential areas rather than tourist spots, right? haha It was packed with people when we visited, too. Clearly, residential neighborhoods hide lots of places loved by locals!

Where to park for Cultured in Ara-dong
It's not right in front of the restaurant, but if you go into the alley behind it, there's a public car park run by the city. Parking there wasn't too expensive either. Parking in a residential area is a real headache with hardly any spots, so having a public car park nearby made things so easy.

Cultured's interior and seating
Inside, it felt like a old-school Western-style restaurant (gyeongyangsik) from my childhood. How to put it? Like going out for a pork cutlet as a kid? It was closer to a comfortable restaurant than the high-end interiors popular lately.

There's also group seating on one side, which looked good for gatherings or company dinners.

What comes in the Cultured lunch set?
For our lunch set we chose salmon salad, spinach pasta, gorgonzola pizza, apple juice and tangerine juice. With salad, pasta, pizza and drinks, the table felt complete! No need for extra orders, so enjoying the full set was great, and the friendly price made it even better!

Is Cultured good for dining with kids?
Cultured has high chairs, so it was good for bringing a child. Our little one doesn't really stay put even in a high chair, so it was a bit of a struggle, though ^^;

How was Cultured's salmon salad?
The food has finally arrived! First, the lunch set's salmon salad was a nice way to start the meal! Fresh vegetables with salmon let us begin without feeling heavy.

The vegetables come with a basic dressing already on them, which was clean and just right with the salmon! And dipping it in the sauce too, it could rival a salmon specialty restaurant.

Spinach pasta and gorgonzola pizza at Cultured
The pasta we picked was the spinach pasta, and it was lovely and smooth. If you like pasta, I recommend this spinach pasta, which is full of flavor without being heavy!

And the last main, gorgonzola pizza! It went even better with the spinach pasta. Gorgonzola dipped in sweet honey is never bad, you know???
For drinks we chose apple juice and tangerine juice, and having drinks included in the set was really nice! My husband said that since we're in Jeju, he'd have the tangerine juice. hahahaha

Is the Cultured lunch set good value?
What I liked most about Cultured was being able to enjoy such a variety of dishes with a single lunch set. Normally two of us would just order two mains, but with salad, pizza, pasta and drinks, this Jeju City pasta restaurant was great value.

Having a filling lunch gave us energy for the rest of the day's plans, so it became another recharge moment on the trip. Considering the price, it was really good value, so if you're looking for a no-fuss lunch in Jeju, give it a try!

On the way out after lunch, we agreed that next time we visit Jeju and crave Western food, we'll come back to Cultured. This visit reminded me once more that local gems are where lots of locals live!

If you want tasty pizza and pasta on your trip while keeping an eye on value, the Cultured lunch set seems like a great choice! I'm happy to have found another regular spot on this Jeju trip. Why not find your own Jeju regular spot too?
