Sillim cocktail bar for two: Kahlúa milk and question cards at Yahwa
In short
Yahwa Sillim is a cocktail bar built around solo drinking, in a basement down an alley in Sillim-dong, Gwanak, Seoul. On a visit with a friend, the writer had two Kahlúa milks, a peach crush and a non-alcoholic orange sunrise, chatted over the guestbook and question cards, and ended up talking with other guests who had come alone. Yahwa Sillim is a relaxed spot whether you're drinking solo or having a casual drink with a friend.

Where is the entrance to Yahwa Sillim?

The entrance is down an alley, and the bar is in the basement.

Go down the stairs and you'll find the door right here!
Inside Yahwa Sillim

The soft lighting gives the inside a nice mood, like a cozy hideout.

There's a monitor for taking photos, and water is set out on one side. A variety of whiskeys are on display too.

The restroom matters more than you'd think at a bar, haha. It was clean inside too, so I enjoyed my visit even more.
A hangover drink comes with the basic snacks

Once you sit down, Yahwa Sillim brings you basic snacks, a hangover drink and honey sticks. A hangover drink, what a thoughtful touch~~🫰🏻
Yahwa Sillim menu and how to order by QR

The menu has a really wide range: signature drinks, highballs, cocktails, whiskey, tequila, beer and non-alcoholic options, so you can pick to your taste. You order with the QR code on the table.
Before choosing, it asks you to enter your table number. Look low at the front of your seat and you'll find it.
Kahlúa milk and peach crush: how was the first round?
For my first glass I ordered a Kahlúa milk and a peach crush.

The cocktails are good!! I love Kahlúa milk and order it every time I go to a cocktail bar, and Yahwa Sillim's was nicely sweet and tasty. The atmosphere put me in an even better mood haha. I drank it chatting with my friend😋

The guestbook and question cards keep the conversation going
On one side of Yahwa Sillim there's a spot where you can browse guestbook entries and notes left by other people, so waiting wasn't boring at all. From relatable stories to funny episodes, they were really fun to read.
There are also all kinds of question cards, which made it easy to keep the conversation going over a drink. We seriously debated "3 legs vs 20 fingers" for a long time, and our opinions split more than expected, so we laughed so much😂
The topics are really varied, so whether you go with someone you just met or an old friend, it's a place where you can talk without noticing the time pass.

Second round: non-alcoholic orange sunrise and another Kahlúa milk
For the second round I had an orange sunrise and, again, a Kahlúa milk, haha. My friend was curious about Kahlúa milk, so I introduced it to her. If you like milk tea, you'll definitely like it.
The orange sunrise is a non-alcoholic menu item! This one was so good too~~🤤

Is Yahwa Sillim okay to visit alone?
I came with a friend, and oddly enough, every other guest besides us was there alone. You can feel right away that Yahwa Sillim has an atmosphere that makes drinking alone easy.
It's not awkward or uncomfortable at all to be alone, so it's easy to spend time there without pressure. I chatted naturally with the other guests too, and the vibe was so relaxed that I lost track of time haha. I originally had to leave early for a later plan, but it was so much fun that I wanted to stay longer. I get why so many people come to drink solo🤭
Wrap-up

Thanks to the tasty snacks and relaxed atmosphere, I enjoyed it without noticing the time pass. It suits everything from drinking alone to dates to casual drinks, so if you're looking for a solo-drinking bar in Sillim, you'll be happy here. I recommend Yahwa Sillim!
