Where is Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, and where do you park?
Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is on the 2nd floor of Suybeon Choigo Pork Gukbap in Marine City, and parking is available at The Sharp Adelis commercial lot. I'd been spotting it lately from the Dalmaji side of Haeundae and got curious — turns out the reviews are great too? So here it is, a Marine City must-visit, Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch. Parking's available, which made things so much easier.
Hours run from 11 AM to 10 PM, with break time from 3:30 to 5 PM. Lots of people just park along this Marine City street, but I've seen cars towed here on weekdays and weekends alike, so I always park in an actual lot haha. And since free parking is available, no reason not to.

Window seats, a private room and baby chairs for coming with kids
Walking into Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, wow, it was even nicer inside than it looked from the outside. The window seats have an ocean view, the other tables have stylish interiors that set a great mood, and there's a separate private room further in. If you're planning a group gathering or want a more private meal, reserve ahead and eat in the room. Naver Reservation is available too. Baby chairs are on hand as well. Chinese restaurants usually have rice dishes kids can eat, so it's a good spot to bring one along.

The menu at Bueokgan Chinese and what we ordered
Here's the Marine City must-visit Bueokgan Chinese menu, swipe through to see. I ordered abalone shrimp fried rice and jalapeño cream shrimp to share with my kid, plus gochu ganjajang (spicy black bean noodles) for my husband — three dishes total. All good choices, apparently. There's everything from single dishes to full-on entrées. Plenty of Chinese liquor options too, perfect for pairing tasty food with a nice drink.

They said if you write a receipt photo review, you get free eohyang mandu (fish-fragrance dumplings). A quick photo review and tasty dumplings — two birds, one stone.

After we sat and ordered, danmuji (pickled radish) and jjachai (pickled mustard greens) came out. It was an odd hour for dinner, but the place was still packed — families, friend groups, all sorts of people.

Abalone shrimp fried rice: easy to share with a child
Our first dish at Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch was the abalone shrimp fried rice. Fried rice with abalone and shrimp, jjajang sauce on the side, plus egg drop soup on top of it all. Since it's not a spicy dish, it was easy to share with my kid, and the wok-fried aroma plus the big chunks of shrimp and abalone make it something everyone would like.

The charm of fried rice is really in the fluffy, separate grains. It wasn't bland at all, seasoned just right — so good. Delicious on its own, and just as good mixed with the sauce.

Look at all that shrimp and abalone on the left. I portioned out enough for my kid and kept the rest for myself. Mixed into the jjajang sauce, so good. A Marine City must-visit that also nails the basics of Chinese restaurant fried rice — pass.

Gochu ganjajang: loaded with toppings and thick noodles
This time we ordered something a bit spicy too: gochu ganjajang (spicy black bean noodles with chili). My husband usually loves jjamppong, so I figured he'd order that, but he said he wanted this instead — and it wasn't at all what we expected visually. Both the look and the flavor were something else, honestly surprising. Loaded with toppings, spicy, and the noodles were just slightly thicker than usual.

It felt like after finishing the noodles, you could mix rice into the leftover toppings and eat it like a rice bowl. A ganjajang that seems to do double duty. Big chunks of meat throughout, and the spiciness made it even more delicious.
Jalapeño cream shrimp: jalapeños picked off for the child
And the dish I enjoyed most at Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch was the jalapeño cream shrimp. At first I wasn't sure how the jalapeños would come and whether we could share it with my kid, but they're just scattered on top like a garnish — so picking those off left it completely mild, totally fine for kids.
First off, that cream sauce is seriously delicious. The shrimp are fried crisp, and the shrimp inside are plump and thick — the combination is top-notch. Cream plus fried food can get heavy after a while, but the jalapeño cuts right through that. Which is exactly why it's so good.

Under the fried shrimp there's lettuce, so it almost feels like eating a salad and cream shrimp together. That sauce makes even the salad taste amazing, and the crisp, plump fried shrimp was really the best part.

Eating a jalapeño here and there in between really cleans your palate, so good. My kid tried the cream shrimp and went crazy saying it was so good, then when I took a bite, demanded more and had me put extra on their own plate. Kids don't lie about what they like, you know. Ate the fried rice well, ate the cream shrimp well too.
Is Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch worth a visit?
First time at Marine City must-visit Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, and we ate really well. I heard there are more restaurants over in Dalmaji, so now I'm curious to check those out too — a pasta place and a Chinese restaurant, two different styles, which makes me even more curious. Being able to park made it as convenient as it gets, and the food was excellent too.
