Dalmaji-gil Western restaurant for 3: set for 2 + gnocchi, Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간 해운대점) is a European-style Western restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan, with a Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor and a European dining room on the 2nd floor of the same building. Three of us, traveling without a car until a cousin gave us a ride, ordered the 2-person set plus truffle mushroom cream gnocchi and shared a napa cabbage Caesar salad, pastry-topped pumpkin soup, basil margherita pizza and lasagna. The food at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch was nothing special, but the atmosphere was, and the basement parking lot is narrow.

Why a traveler on foot went to Bueokgan on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae
Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간) is an Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae. I'm a traveler without a car, so I only got there because my cousin did a fantastic job as my driver.
I owe my cousin a lot on this trip, and getting me to Bueokgan was one of those favors! All I wanted when I came to Haeundae was a restaurant with a nice mood on Dalmaji-gil, and thanks to my cousin, here's my Bueokgan review 😃
How are the 1st and 2nd floors of Bueokgan Haeundae Branch different?
Bueokgan uses both the 1st and 2nd floors of the building: the 1st floor is Chinese and the 2nd is European. I wanted the mood, so up to the 2nd floor I went!

The moment I walked in, I was totally smitten with the atmosphere... 🥰

What happened when I booked for 2 and 3 people showed up
I hadn't planned to bring my cousin when I booked, so I reserved for two, and they gave us this seat. On a blind date it would have been a very romantic spot, but my dear friend and my cousin and I are just us, so I politely asked for a different table 🤣

The 2nd floor, full of European charm
I wonder if the reason the 2nd floor feels so European is that half-moon door...?

The open kitchen I love,

and the wines.... 💕

The mood was so good that I asked my friend to take photos of me. I had no idea I looked like that, haha. I've put a mosaic on it out of consideration for you readers... Anyway, my cousin is a guy, but he advised me that to meet a woman you have to get past this kind of atmosphere ^^ My cousin is really sweet, right....? That's the effect of me bringing Seongsimdang bread all the way to Busan, as a citizen of Seongsim Metropolitan City, haha. There's no such thing as a free lunch 😂

What to order at Bueokgan for 3 people? The 2-person set plus gnocchi
Three of us visited Bueokgan Haeundae Branch and added gnocchi to the 2-person set!! The three of us shared salad, soup, gnocchi, pizza and lasagna.

The napa cabbage Caesar salad can be hit or miss
First out was the napa cabbage Caesar salad. Every time it showed up on TV I wanted to try it, but I never had the chance, so when Bueokgan had it, I ordered it! You mix the poached egg with the Caesar dressing, but it turned out not to be my style...
My cousin's top pick: pastry pumpkin soup
The pastry pumpkin soup was crazy good. My cousin said it was the best thing at Bueokgan, haha. It's quite sweet, so it's a great appetizer to get your appetite going! My cousin even dipped his pizza in it.

While we were eating the soup, all the food arrived, so I snapped one photo!

My pick: truffle mushroom cream gnocchi
My pick, the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi, had a strong truffle aroma that won me over, and the mushrooms were cooked just right with a chewy texture,

and the gnocchi was nice and thick too 😃

Basil margherita pizza
The basil margherita pizza has a lovely basil fragrance, so it's good for a bite when you start getting tired of Italian food.

Lasagna piled with mozzarella
And the lasagna piled high with pizza cheese. Can you feel how thick that cheese is....? My friend and my cousin on the trip were first-timers at a blog sponsorship, so when I told them to cut the lasagna they got nervous, haha. Look at my friend, look at my cousin, haha. So cute, haha. Anyway, the lasagna was packed with pizza cheese and ground meat, I'll tell you that!
How were the service and atmosphere at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?
While we ate, the owner kept checking whether the food was okay and whether we had any inconvenience, which I liked. My cousin had originally suggested heading to a nice café on Dalmaji-gil after the meal, but the atmosphere was so good that we chatted for ages before leaving....!
Parking at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch: the basement lot is tight
Bueokgan Haeundae Branch has a basement parking lot, but the space is cramped, so I squeezed my eyes shut when the car pulled out... Come for a meal and get your car scratched? My heart would break....
The verdict in one line
The food wasn't anything special, but the atmosphere was special 🥰
