Jamsil weekday bar for pork kalbibimmyeon, cream jjamppong: Wareureu

Today I'm writing up a visit to a Bangi-dong restaurant and Bangi-dong bar in the food alley that nailed the vibe, the taste of the side dishes, and the value all at once.

What is Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch?

I'm writing up my visit to Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch. It's the perfect place to enjoy a meal and drinks at the same time. It's a newly opened Bangi-dong restaurant with tons of side dishes and a big screen, so it's great for having a drink while watching a movie or football, plus there are various review perks and events that make it a great value.

How long is the weekday evening wait?

Let me show you the entrance inside Wareureu Mansion. Even on a weekday there were really a lot of people.

We put our name on the waitlist and looked around bit by bit. After about 10 minutes of waiting, they cleared a table for us.

After sitting down, we looked over the menu and ordered. Let me introduce what we ordered.

What we ordered was gabri-sal (pork collar) suyuk (boiled pork) and haemul cream jjamppong (seafood cream noodle soup).

Tender, soft gabri-sal boiled pork comes with spicy-tangy kalguksu-style bibim noodles, seaweed flakes, crispy gim-bugak (fried seaweed chips), and wasabi! The meat was really tender and the knife-cut noodles went so well with it.

The kalguksu noodles were really chewy — this is a bar, but it's genuinely a spot known for great side dishes haha.

There were so many scallops piled on top.

The ultimate visual — scallops piled generously all around the rim of the bowl.

The thick, spicy, savory cream broth combined with seafood was so delicious.

It was so hot out that the soju-beer mix just went straight down.

A clever tablet ordering system

Ordering was easy through the tablet installed at each table! The staff-call menu had items like aprons, broth, wet wipes, and blankets, and there was even a 'friendly staff' section with photos of witty staff members registered — it was fun just to look at!!!

Handy extras: Wi-Fi, fast charging and group seating

You can easily connect to wifi with a QR code, and there's a fast charging service that can charge up to 10 devices at once — 7 USB-C and 3 8-pin cables.

Events and freebies at Wareureu Mansion

If you take part in the receipt or video review event, you get to pick one of a drink, fruit, or a rice ball, available once per person and up to 4 times per table.

Happy hour: ₩100 draft beer before 7pm

If you come in before 7pm, they run a happy hour event where you can enjoy Hanmac draft beer for just ₩100 per person (applies to up to 4 people per group). It's an incredible deal for early-bird visitors or those looking for a first-round or daytime drink.

Given the generous portions and well-made Korean dishes served as side dishes, the prices are reasonable, so you can handle both a meal and drinks in one go — the value is excellent.

This is the best spot in the Bangi-dong food alley to have a drink with hearty side dishes. Both the gabri suyuk kalbibimmyeon and the cream jjamppong are quality enough to be a main dish, and if you visit before 7pm you can catch the ₩100 draft beer event too — highly recommended for anyone looking for a Bangi-dong restaurant or Bangi-dong bar!
