Window-seat brunch café in Sangin-dong, Daegu: Otter Rabbit House
In short
Otter Rabbit House is a fairytale-style brunch and bakery café in a residential area near Wolgwang Waterside Park in Sangin-dong, Dalseo, Daegu. On a weekday at noon, the writer and a younger sibling took a window seat at Otter Rabbit House for bolognese ragu pasta, egg basil French toast, a passion fruit vin chaud ade, fresh-squeezed orange juice and a castella croissant, then bought bread to go for the writer's nieces and nephews. Apart from the orange juice coming without ice, both the space and the food at Otter Rabbit House were satisfying.

What kind of café is Otter Rabbit House?
Otter Rabbit House is a brunch café in a residential neighborhood near Wolgwang Waterside Park in Sangin-dong, Daegu. I visited at noon on June 12, 2026.
It's right next to my first niece's old kindergarten, so I'd passed it a few times before. The outside was always so pretty that I kept thinking, "I have to go there someday," and I finally made it this time. It's near Wolgwang Waterside Park, so it's nice for a walk, and since it sits inside a residential area, it has a quiet feel that's different from the busy downtown cafés.
Is the exterior of Otter Rabbit House really like a fairy tale?

The first thing I noticed when I arrived was how pretty the exterior is. It looked like a little café from a European country village that had been picked up and dropped here. The antique-style building and the warm colors together felt like a scene from a storybook.

I was in a good mood the moment I stood at the entrance. I could see why so many people recommend Otter Rabbit House as a brunch café near Wolgwang Waterside Park. Even the sign announcing bingsu season had exactly the sweet, cozy vibe I love!
What are the interior and the menu like?
The inside of Otter Rabbit House is a cozy space of wood-toned interiors, props and natural light. There are so many brunch dishes and baked goods that choosing was hard.
When I opened the door, the space was even prettier than I'd expected. Props placed here and there and the wood-toned interior made it warm, and soft natural light made the whole room feel snug. It was so full of charm that photos would come out nicely wherever you took them. The tables by the window especially kept catching my eye.

With such a wide brunch menu and so many kinds of bread, I honestly couldn't decide. For brunch we ordered the bolognese ragu pasta and the egg basil French toast.

For drinks we chose a passion fruit vin chaud ade (vin chaud is spiced mulled wine, here in a non-alcoholic ade style) and fresh orange juice, and since I couldn't give up on the bakery either, we added a castella croissant.

How was brunch at the window seat?

Another guest was sitting at the window seat when we arrived, but it opened up while we were ordering, so we got to sit there. Eating brunch in the sunshine felt so relaxed and happy.
We were feeling a bit disappointed that someone was at the window table, but luckily they finished and left while we were ordering, so we got the spot. Enjoying brunch while looking at the sunlight coming in through the window, I felt like the main character of a fairy tale.

Bolognese ragu pasta
The sauce on the bolognese ragu pasta was rich and deep, and that's what stuck with me. It was packed with meat, so the texture was great, and the noodles and sauce blended well, so every bite was full of flavor. I'd thought of it as just a light brunch dish, but the quality was better than I expected and I was satisfied.

Passion fruit vin chaud ade and fresh-squeezed orange juice
My sister praised the passion fruit vin chaud ade as delicious. I had the fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was fresh and good. I love ice, so I was a little sad that there wasn't any, but I could taste the orange strongly, which I liked :)

Egg basil French toast
The egg basil French toast was the kind of dish that makes you happy just looking at it. The toppings on the golden-grilled toast looked appetizing, and the fragrant basil went really well with the soft egg.

Sweet and savory were nicely balanced, so I think it would be great with coffee too. Personally, if you visit Otter Rabbit House, I'd recommend ordering this one at least once.
Is Otter Rabbit House worth going back to?

Both the brunch and the bread were so good that I bought extra bread to take home for my nieces. With its fairytale exterior, charming interior, and tasty brunch and bakery, it left nothing to be desired.
If you're looking for a brunch café near Wolgwang Waterside Park, I'd definitely recommend visiting Otter Rabbit House. It's a great choice for a day when you want to spend a relaxed time over good brunch in a pretty space. I'm going to come back with my nieces next time :)
