Parking at Banwoldang Bujasikdang
Parking is limited to just 3 spots in front of the store; if they're full, you'll need to use a paid lot nearby. Luckily there was 1 spot open when I visited, so I was able to park.

If you'd prefer more parking room, there's also a Bujasikdang branch in Suseong, for reference.

Inside the restaurant and the self-serve ssam bar
The interior is spacious with private-feeling nooks, and the 4-person tables are set with plenty of space between them, making it good for group gatherings in Banwoldang. Baby chairs are also available, so it's a good pick for family meals too.

At the self-serve bar, there are ssam (wrap) vegetables ready to go well with the seokgalbi (rib) — just grab them there.

The side dishes that come with the meal

First, the basic side dishes included salad, bean sprouts, onion, and a total of 5 items to enjoy alongside the meal.
Fire-grilled buja seokgalbi for two

The main dish, bujaseokgalbi for two, arrived on a heated stone plate with shredded green onion, onion, and other vegetables — and the amount of meat provided was really generous, which I loved.

The pieces of meat were also nice and chunky, well coated in a sweet sauce with a clean, savory taste — a seokgalbi dish that pretty much anyone would enjoy without complaint.

The shredded green onion and onion served together on the stone plate cut through the richness of the meat cleanly and paired well with it. Piling the seokgalbi and side dishes onto the black rice we'd ordered made for a really filling meal.
The free country-style cheonggukjang stew

When you order the seokgalbi, a country-style cheonggukjang (fermented soybean) stew comes as a default, served piping hot.

The stew looks like a clear broth, but the moment you take a bite, you get a really strong cheonggukjang flavor — it was genuinely delicious. It's clean and refreshing alongside the rich soy-glazed seokgalbi, and it's also great mixed into the black rice, so give that a try :)
