When I’m driving with my wife, I use T Map while charging my phone, so there wasn’t really a good time for my wife to charge hers. The car has a factory charging pad, but it’s inconvenient, and I’d been wanting a MagSafe car phone mount too. That’s why I chose this product.

Let’s take it out to the car and install it!! First, the components:

What’s included with the MagSafe mount

It includes the main unit, a base with 3M double-sided tape attached, a magnetic ring, an alcohol wipe, and an instruction manual. If there’s nowhere to attach the main unit, stick the base to the dashboard with the double-sided tape and suction the main unit onto it. If you have glass or another surface where it can suction on, you don’t have to attach the base.

MagSafe is a feature on iPhones from the iPhone 12 onward, with magnets built into the back of the phone so you can attach various accessories. If your phone doesn’t have MagSafe, you can attach the magnetic ring to it and use it with the main unit like MagSafe. My phone has MagSafe, so I don’t need that ring.

Trimming the dashboard cover and attaching the base

I put a cover on the dashboard when I bought the car. Oh dear... I’ll just make a hole, haha. The delivery box was really sturdy, so I put it underneath and carefully cut the cover to the size of the base with a knife. Ooh, cut pretty well.

First, clean the spot where the base’s double-sided tape will go with the alcohol wipe! Then use wipe No. 2, the dry wipe, to wipe away the alcohol. Now that there’s no oil on it, it should stick better.

Peel off the backing from the 3M double-sided tape and stick it neatly underneath the cover I cut out. If you remove double-sided tape right away, it comes off easily. If you attached it wrong, fix it quickly... haha. And after attaching it, it’s best to leave it alone for about a day. I attached it and pressed it down with the main unit on Friday after work, then used it on Monday.

I quit smoking, so I don’t have a lighter and couldn’t neatly finish the trimmed part. I’ll do it later, I guess haha.

Suction, angle adjustment, and iPhone fit

I suctioned on the 비티냐 360° MagSafe mount and turned it until it clicked, and it held on firmly. Of course, there shouldn’t be any debris between the suction cup and the base, right? I tried adjusting the angle like this too~~

Yep... this is how I’m going to attach it... haha. Actually, this was on another day. I even cleaned up the trimmed area with a lighter... The truth is... I didn’t have a camera to take photos with while mounting my own phone...ㅠㅠ

I mounted my coworker’s iPhone 13 mini and snapped a photo. It’s exactly the angle I wanted, in a great position.

Can you feel it from the movement, maybe? The powerful magnetic hold of this MagSafe? It’s just right. It needs to attach firmly and take a firm pull to remove, so it won’t fall off from most shocks. Even in the video, the magnetism looks strong.

Useful in many places, not just the car

I had only thought of it as a car mount, but looking at the product page, you can suction it anywhere the main unit’s suction cup can attach, such as glass or a metal plate. So you can use it in lots of positions: on a TV screen while using a treadmill, on marble while cooking in the kitchen, or on car glass. It can hold tablets as well as smartphones, so it’s super versatile. Oh, I chose black, but it also comes in white.
