Suwon tea room café with a pink teapot: Kusmi Anastasia at Diaz Cake

Hello~~~~~ it's Ddungddaengi! I had something to do near Suwon City Hall Station and heard there was a great cake shop nearby, so I stopped by Diaz Cake Boutique.

Diaz Cake Boutique is on the 2nd floor. The 4th floor is also Diaz, but it's not the Cake Boutique, so make sure you go to the right one to avoid confusion. Of course, the 4th floor also has delicious cakes waiting!

What's on the menu at Diaz Cake Boutique

That day I ordered three things: Kusmi Tea Anastasia, a vanilla latte, and choco cream cake.

How did the Kusmi Tea Anastasia, vanilla latte, and choco cream cake taste?

First, the Kusmi Tea Anastasia came out warm in a pretty teapot, and just seeing it put me in a good mood. It was served with a pink teapot and cup together, so I could fully enjoy the tea-time vibe, haha. It was a great menu item for sipping tea slowly while chatting, or for spending time alone at a leisurely pace! The tea's subtle aroma and clean taste meant it wasn't heavy to drink alongside dessert, haha.

The vanilla latte I ordered alongside it was iced, and the cup was packed with ice for a refreshing drink. The smooth taste of milk combined with sweet vanilla aroma made it an easy pick if you like sweet drinks. The bitterness of the coffee and sweetness of the vanilla balanced out nicely, and it went well with the cake too!

And the one I was most looking forward to — the choco cream cake! 🍫 Just looking at it, the cake was piled high with choco cream, giving it the kind of visual that hits the spot when you're craving something sweet. The soft cream and sweet chocolate flavor blended really well when eaten with coffee. It had that rich, deep sweetness typical of chocolate desserts — pairing it with the vanilla latte doubled the sweetness, while pairing it with the Anastasia tea felt like the tea cleanly cut through the cake's sweetness!

Everything came out together on a pretty tray that day, so it was great for photos too. The pink teapot and teacup, the iced vanilla latte, and the choco cream cake all came together beautifully in color, making the time spent at the café feel even more special. I'd recommend this combination to anyone who wants to enjoy tea, coffee, and dessert together rather than just drinking coffee alone. It's especially worth visiting if you want to relax quietly with a cup of tea, or enjoy dessert time with pretty teaware!

Final verdict on Diaz Cake Boutique

Personally, I loved alternating between the Anastasia tea, choco cream cake, and vanilla latte in that order. Pairing the sweet cake with coffee was great, and sipping tea in between cleaned my palate so I kept going back for more, haha.

Overall, what impressed me was being able to enjoy not just the drinks and dessert but also the pretty teapot and teacup together. If you like black tea or other teas in addition to coffee, this place is worth a visit at least once. It was especially the kind of café that suits chatting with a friend over a relaxed tea time, or taking a short break with something sweet.
