Stone-pot tsukemen and melon cider near City Hall, Seoul: Mentsuru
Mentsuru City Hall Branch is a ramen restaurant on Seoseomun-ro 11-gil in Jung-gu, Seoul, popular with office workers near City Hall Station. After shopping at Lotte Department Store Main Branch on a rainy evening, the writer and her sister took counter seats and ordered tsukemen served in a stone pot with melon cider, dipping the noodles in the broth, the seaweed and the chashu in turn so the bowl never got boring. Mentsuru seats about 30 people and sends guests to the basement floor when the first floor is full, so finding a table was never a worry.
