What kind of café is Orange Bagel in Suwon?

Orange Bagel is a large bagel café at 129 Omokcheon-ro, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. I was craving bagels so badly that I went on a full-on search binge, and this Suwon bakery café is what I found 🧡

Just researching which bagels to try got me excited, but once I actually arrived, the place was way bigger than I expected, so my anticipation was already building before I even walked in.

Full view of the large Suwon bagel café occupying the entire building

The Brooklyn-style brick building gave off serious New York vibes from the outside. Since it's a huge bagel café taking up the entire building, the sense of space and scale really stood out :)

The interior is spacious with plenty of room between tables, so it was great for enjoying a bagel slowly, and it didn't feel cramped even with a kid along — a decent spot for a Suwon outing with children^__^

If you're looking for a large café, large bakery café, or large bagel café in Suwon, this is worth a visit at least once. Thanks to the distinct Brooklyn-New-York atmosphere, I ended up having just as much fun looking around the space and taking photos as eating bagels 😊

Inside Orange Bagel: the interior and mascot Kevin

Walking inside, the atmosphere felt like a slice of Brooklyn, New York transplanted whole. Classic brick exteriors, unique windows, and New York-style signage all combined for a vintage yet stylish feel!

There was fun in checking out the displays and murals scattered around too, so it felt less like a place just for eating bagels and more like a whole space to explore ✨✨

What was especially cute was the café's main character, Kevin 🖤 You can spot Kevin, styled as a dachshund, all over the building, and on the second floor there's a space labeled KEVIN along with a drawing of him. There's a little story running through it, like Kevin came from New York and is making the bagels, which made it fun to hunt for him together with my kid haha.

What is the rooftop at Orange Bagel like?

Going up to Orange Bagel's rooftop, the mood shifts again +_+ There are graffiti and contemporary-art-style murals, and it evokes the New York skyline, so it was great for photos.

Standing in front of the electronic sign board and taking a photo, I felt like I was actually on a rooftop in New York enjoying a bagel with a glass of wine. Perfect for a date or an outing course!

The four bagels ordered at Orange Bagel

Ta-da~~ I got so caught up looking around the store that ordering was delayed haha. Time to order? I picked the Laugen butter bagel, the red bean butter bagel, the olive tomato bagel, and the salmon bagel 🥯

They apparently make every filling in-house, and manage things carefully enough that they won't use vegetables for the sandwiches if they aren't in good condition. They use Canadian flour and French butter, make the dough themselves, and I heard the kitchen team tests recipes repeatedly and keeps meeting about it — you could really feel the care put into these bagels.

The drinks on display were pretty too..>.<

There were so many kinds of bagels that it was hard to pick just one, so I ended up trying several, and each had such a distinct character that it was genuinely fun to choose.

Laugen butter bagel

First, the Laugen butter bagel had a subtle saltiness from the very first bite that kept pulling me back in~~~! (The Laugen butter bagel is hands-down my number one pick ❣️)

The outside had a slightly chewy bite while the inside stayed moist, giving it great texture, and the butter in the middle brought a burst of nuttiness. The butter isn't overly greasy and lets the bagel's plain, savory flavor shine, so it paired really well with a warm cup of coffee.

Red bean butter bagel

The red bean butter bagel is, in a word, a combo of sweetness and nuttiness! The red bean paste has a gentle sweetness that pairs well with the bagel's plain flavor, and the butter adds a soft, rich depth.

As you chew through the chewy bagel, the flavors of red bean and butter blend together into a taste that's familiar yet distinct. It's good to eat like a dessert, and even one was pretty filling.

Happy Orange Time: 15% off bagels after 5pm

After 5pm, Orange Bagel runs Happy Orange Time with 15% off bagels, plus a 10% discount for police officers, firefighters, military, and U.S. Army, and an event where you can get a bagel for a receipt review or an Instagram story mention ❣️

If you're planning a bakery tour in Suwon, this is worth a stop, and it's also great if you're hunting for good food in Suwon since you can enjoy bagels and coffee together. Being able to enjoy freshly baked bagels in such a spacious, relaxed setting makes it a good fit for anyone searching for a Suwon bakery café, a café near Yongin, a place to visit in Suwon, or a recommended café near Dongtan~~^^

Taking bagels home in the Orange Bagel box: final thoughts

The packaging is really pretty too 🧡 With the bagels in the orange box and the newsletter laid out alongside, the photo came out looking like a proper gift box. It would make a great housewarming gift or just a nice present in that orange box.

What's also special is that this is a space where you can experience authentic New York-style bagels, not a Korean- or Japanese-style take 🌟 On top of the murals, displays, and signage that transplant Brooklyn's mood, the sound system was made in collaboration with Ellasonica, a renowned Korean speaker maker, adding the fun of 'hearing New York through great speakers.'

It's a great course for taking photos and enjoying dessert on a date or an outing, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for good food in Suwon, and Orange Bagel is a spot worth saving to any list of Suwon bakery cafés or places to visit in Suwon :D💝
