Why I chose a sealer instead of a frame for diamond painting

I usually do diamond painting as a calming hobby, including through a club at work~ When I get absorbed in it without thinking about anything, I totally lose track of time haha.

I generally use diamond paintings on canvas, and to store them after finishing, you need to finish them with either a frame or film so they will not discolor and the gems will not fall off. But having a frame made to fit the size felt financially burdensome ㅜㅜ I do it for the first one or two, though lol.

So I looked around wondering what might be less of a financial burden, and I found sealers. I thought it might just be adhesive, but it could address every concern I had: a sealer that is transparent and adds a sparkling gloss, coats the rhinestones so they do not discolor, and fixes them in place so they do not fall off and get lost.

Hasi diamond painting liquid and brush set

The sealer I bought was the “Hasi Diamond Painting Large-Capacity Liquid 247ml + Silicone Brush.” It comes with a large bottle of liquid and a silicone brush~ It is a practical set with exactly what you need.

The instructions are clearly marked and it is easy to use. After applying the liquid, you can simply rinse the silicone brush with water, so it is perfect for someone as lazy as me haha.

Since I might throw away the box, I also liked that the instructions are printed on the liquid bottle.

The twist-open container and how the liquid feels

You do not have to fuss with removing and replacing a cap: just twist it open and twist it shut. It is convenient without having to worry about losing a cap. This is surprisingly so nice! With a separate cap, it could get lost while using it, and if the container stayed open, the liquid could dry out. I think this design helps you use the large bottle for a long time.

The opening is also just the right size for dispensing the liquid, so it is easy to control the amount.

Even if it tips over while you are using it, it does not leak, which makes it convenient. As long as you do not squeeze it, it will not flow out even when open. But closing it is essential!!

How to apply diamond painting sealer

Just squeeze out the amount of liquid you need. It comes out in a thin stream, so you can apply a little at a time over several rounds; if you want to apply more, squeeze firmly to increase the amount. I recommend applying and drying it in small portions haha.

Even with only a little applied, it gave a gloss and held everything well. The liquid has no scent and feels like liquid glue, so before it hardens, it wipes away easily with water. I got a little on my hand while applying it, and it came right off and cleaned away well.

Spreading it evenly with the silicone brush

The silicone brush is made of water-based PVA, so it should be fine for a child to use too, which made me feel at ease.

Because it is silicone, you can apply it freely, and it is soft, so it spread smoothly with a few swipes. Applying with either side is no problem.

The application surface is wide too, so it spread well without going over it many times and I finished quickly.

Shine and holding power after a 2-hour cure

Can you see the shine? It says to allow about 2 hours of curing time after application, and because it spread evenly, it sparkled whenever I moved it and held the gems securely too. I am extremely satisfied haha.

It can be used not only on diamond paintings but also on puzzles, photos, paper, and wood, so use this large-capacity liquid to make lovely projects through a healthy hobby^^ Now that I know about this diamond painting gloss sealer, I think I can enjoy my hobby more efficiently and cost-effectively.
