What kind of pizza place is Clap Pizza at Cheonan Shinsegae?

Clap Pizza Cheonan-Asan Shinsegae is a thin-crust pizza spot inside Shinsegae Department Store in Cheonan. I love thin-crust pizza because you get the toppings at full strength, so this is one of my favorites! The menu is varied, and they happened to be running a takeout discount event 🫣 I took home the safest-looking choice, a large Clap Supreme. They sell beer, so it's great for pizza and beer, and there are plenty of dipping sauces too.

What comes with a Clap Pizza takeout order?

The takeout comes with Parmesan cheese powder, hot sauce, garlic dipping sauce and pickles. I got takeout once last winter, and I was really impressed that they pack the pizza in an insulated bag to keep it warm 👏 If you order a drink in the restaurant, refills are unlimited, which is nice. One large pizza feeds 2–3 people, so it's a good lunch pizza place in Sinbu-dong.

Clap Pizza Cheonan-Asan Shinsegae is on the 4th floor of Building B at Shinsegae Department Store in Cheonan. It's across from the accessory shop Butter, and the restaurant itself is big, so it's easy to find. It has more room than other restaurant-floor spots, so it works well if you're bringing kids.

Besides pizza, the sides include pasta, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), buffalo wings and corn salad, and a half-and-half option is available. Food takes a little while, but they give you a buzzer, so you can wander around while you wait 🩷

Why order the Clap Supreme pizza?

This order was a Supreme to suit my husband's taste. I'd tried the All Meat Carbonara before, and after eating only tomato-sauce pizzas, I found the creamy flavor really appealing. This time my husband came along, so I ordered the Supreme he'd like 🤗 It has a variety of toppings and is a safe choice for anyone. We were chatting away and it came out quickly, so I picked it up.

Was the Clap Supreme still warm after 20 minutes?

It took about 20 minutes to get home, and the Clap Supreme was still warm, so we ate it right away without reheating. They thoughtfully included wet wipes too! 👍

This is the Supreme from Clap Pizza, a great lunch spot in Sinbu-dong. The toppings are nicely balanced: mushrooms, pepperoni, corn, onions and more. Cheddar cheese is on top besides the pizza cheese, and I love that it's thin-crust.

The crust at Clap Pizza is thin but really chewy, so even the edge is delicious. With thick dough, I find the toppings make less of an impression, so you have to finish the crust edge properly here. It's chewy and gets nuttier the more you chew, so dipping it in the garlic dipping sauce is just right 🧡 The L is also bigger than I expected, and I think even three adult women could share it.

The Clap Supreme comes in quite big slices, not small ones. I sprinkled on the hot sauce and Parmesan cheese powder they included, and since the Supreme toppings are mild rather than spicy, the hot sauce gave it a punchy kick that made it even better 🤤 Sadly, we had no beer at home, so we couldn't make it pizza and beer, but it would go so well with one.

Clap Pizza's thin crust focuses on the toppings rather than the bread, so you can really taste the cheese. I recommend Clap Pizza for lunch in Sinbu-dong. There are many kinds of pizza, and 2–3 adults can share one. The sides are varied, and the drinks are unlimited too 💪
