Unsweetened soy milk powder for cold water: Garuseonsaeng Seoritae
In short
Garuseonsaeng Seoritae Raw Soy Milk Powder is an unsweetened powdered soy milk made with Korean seoritae (black soybeans) and sea salt. I mixed it with cold water at work; it was nutty and mixed well, though I could feel the skin particles and had to stir it again after settling.

I received this product for review.
I usually like unsweetened soy milk and have tried several products. The Korean soybean milks I had tried were disappointing because of their price and short best-before period, so this time I tried Garuseonsaeng Seoritae Raw Soy Milk Powder, which you mix with water.

What are the ingredients and nutrition in one serving?
The ingredients listed were just Korean seoritae (black soybeans) and sea salt. It is unsweetened, but the nutrition information in the original listing states that each 30 g serving contains 2.4 g of sugars.

The powder had a bluish tint, with black skins visible throughout. I think that was because the seoritae had been ground with their skins on.

A 30 g serving is listed as 134 kcal and 12.1 g of protein. It also lists 9.9 g of carbohydrates, 5.1 g of fat, 0.7 g of saturated fat, and 0.0 g of trans fat.
How much water and powder should you use?
Since it is a powder, I could adjust the thickness by changing the amount of water and powder. I like a thick texture, so I used a generous amount of powder.

The recommended ratio is about two dedicated scoops, or about 30 g of powder, in 150–180 ml of water. You can increase or reduce the powder to suit your taste.

It says that two dedicated scoops equal about 30 g, so I weighed them myself. In my case, one scoop held roughly 13–15 g.

Was it convenient to take to work?
The best-before period is listed as 12 months from the manufacturing date. I liked that it was longer than the carton soy milk I had been drinking.

I put the powder in a container and took it to work. My bag felt lighter than when I carried a carton of soy milk, and it was convenient because I only needed to add water when I wanted to drink it.

Does it mix well in cold water? How did it taste and feel?
When I mixed it with cold water myself, the powder dissolved well. I did not notice an artificial sweetness, and the nutty flavor of the seoritae came through clearly.

However, I could feel the skin particles as I drank it. I chewed them, which made it seem more filling. The particles settled to the bottom over time, so I stirred it well again before drinking.

It was presented as something you can mix with water or milk, or use as a base for seoritae kongguksu (cold soybean noodle soup). The way I tried it was mixed with water and drunk as soy milk.
