How did I fit it into busy mornings?
When I was rushing around getting ready in the morning, I often started the day on an empty stomach because I had not managed to eat. Preparing overnight oatmeal the night before also felt like a hassle, so I tried an easy-to-mix oat powder as a meal replacement.

Garu Seonsaeng Oat Drink is a product mixed with water or milk. It suited the way I eat breakfast because I could prepare only as much as I needed without soaking it in advance.

What were the oat powder's flavor and ingredients like?
At first, I expected an ordinary oat drink powder, but when I tried it, it was richer and nuttier than I expected.

According to the product description, it uses whole Canadian oats, including the hull. I was also interested that the oats contain beta-glucan and dietary fiber.

The description said it uses oats, sea salt, and unrefined raw sugar, with no emulsifiers, artificial flavorings, or preservatives. When I had it, the sweetness was mild rather than excessive, so I did not tire of it.

Was the powder format easy to store?
With liquid drinks, I felt pressure to finish them quickly once opened. Since this product comes in powder form, I could mix only what I wanted to drink, which made it easy to store, and the best-before date felt generous too.
How did I make the oat latte?
You can mix it with just water or milk, but I liked it best as an oat latte with coffee. Here is the ratio I used.
- I prepared 200 ml of milk in a cup.
- I added two heaping spoonfuls of Garu Seonsaeng Oat Drink and stirred.
- I poured in a warm espresso shot or coffee and drank it.
The powder particles were fine, so it blended smoothly after a few stirs. When mixing it with water, I used lukewarm or hot water instead of cold water.
How were the flavor and fullness when mixed with coffee?
For my taste, it did not have the chalky or fishy flavor sometimes associated with grains, and the oats' nuttiness went well with coffee's bitterness. It went down smoothly without anything to chew, and after a cup, my stomach felt comfortable and satisfyingly full.
Its texture was as fine as misutgaru (mixed grain powder). The flavor also reminded me of misutgaru, but it seemed less sweet.

An Unsweetened version was introduced alongside the Original, and the Unsweetened version was described as sugar-free.

I have been having a simple cup in the morning or using it to make a nutty latte at home. I especially liked the convenience of mixing only what I needed and its mild sweetness.
