In short

Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch is a home-style Italian restaurant at the entrance of Baekhyeon-dong café street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. Six diners shared Cotto e Ricotta pizza, truffle potato gnocchi, seafood tomato fettuccine and arugula anchovy pasta for 88,000 won in total. The deeply truffled gnocchi and the chewy squid-ink fresh fettuccine stood out most, making Raon Sik Tak a certain return visit.

First impression of Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch on Baekhyeon-dong café street

I visited Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch on Baekhyeon-dong café street in Pangyo. It's known as a hidden gem on Baekhyeon-dong café street, so I was curious, and this time I went with a group of six to try a bunch of different dishes! The truffle dishes here were especially good, so if you're looking for an Italian restaurant in Pangyo, here's my honest review.

Where Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch is, parking and the room

There's parking for about two cars right next to the restaurant. It sits at the entrance to Baekhyeon-dong café culture street, so it's very easy to find from Pangyo Station!

Interior of Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch with wood and yellow tones

Walking into Raon Sik Tak, the first thing you notice is the warm atmosphere blending wood and yellow tones. Rather than a chic, polished fine-dining vibe, it feels more like a cozy home-style Italian restaurant — like being invited to someone's house.

Cozy interior with wooden tables and yellow lighting

The wooden tables and chairs, plus yellow lighting scattered throughout, create an overall cozy mood, making it comfortable to sit and chat even as a group of six. There are 2- and 4-top tables as well as group tables for six or more, so there's barely any limit on party size.

What six people ordered at Raon Sik Tak and what it cost

Raon Sik Tak's menu has most of what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant — pizza, pasta, risotto — but the truffle dishes really stood out to me. Here's what the six of us ordered.

  • Cotto e Ricotta Pizza ₩27,000
  • Truffle Potato Gnocchi ₩18,000
  • Seafood Tomato Fettuccine ₩25,000
  • Arugula Anchovy Pasta ₩18,000
  • Total ₩88,000

How the four dishes tasted

Italian dishes laid out on the table at Raon Sik Tak

Cotto e Ricotta pizza, ₩27,000

The Cotto e Ricotta Pizza comes topped with house-made cotto ham, ricotta cheese, provolone cheese, white sauce, and truffle oil.

The truffle oil aroma was really strong, but it paired surprisingly well with the ricotta cheese. The crust stayed tender all the way through instead of getting chewy, and the cotto ham was really thick too, don't you think?

The ham's saltiness was just right, and the ricotta's subtle sweetness, the truffle, and the soft dough all came together beautifully!

House-made potato gnocchi finished with truffle cream sauce

The truffle aroma here was seriously intense — the sauce sits over cube-cut, pan-seared gnocchi, and both the texture and the sauce were fantastic.

Squid-ink fresh tomato fettuccine loaded with seafood

Seafood tomato fettuccine, ₩25,000

The Seafood Tomato Fettuccine uses squid-ink fresh noodles that they say are made fresh daily, loaded with scallops, squid, shrimp, and mussels.

Chewy strands of squid-ink fresh fettuccine

Being fresh noodles rather than dried, the chewiness really comes through, and the noodles' own stickiness meant they clung to the sauce much better. The umami of the squid-ink noodles played a big part too.

Pasta topped with arugula and anchovies

Arugula anchovy pasta, ₩18,000

The Arugula Anchovy Pasta combines Mediterranean anchovies with Grana Padano cheese, extra virgin oil, and vegetables.

The anchovy's umami was far more appealing than I expected, and I kept reaching for this one even with all the other dishes on the table.

Anchovy pasta topped with eggplant and other vegetables

That umami soaked right into the eggplant and other vegetables, so the toppings were really good too. Overall, the whole menu had high quality and great balance of flavors — I was genuinely impressed.

Is Raon Sik Tak Pangyo Branch worth it for a group of six?

  • If you want to really taste truffle, go for the gnocchi 👉 cube-seared potato gnocchi under a rich truffle cream sauce, the aroma is no joke.
  • The squid-ink fresh fettuccine has a completely different texture 👉 fresh noodles keep the chewiness alive, and it's loaded with scallops, squid, shrimp, and mussels.
  • Great menu balance for an Italian restaurant in Pangyo 👉 from truffle dishes to anchovy pasta, there's something for every taste, perfect for a group.

As a hidden gem on Baekhyeon-dong café street, I'd come back without hesitation!
