Today I'm introducing a big bar near Isu Station that's perfect for group hangouts and full of pocha (street-tent bar) vibes — "Rainbow Pocha Isu Branch"!
After first round drinks with friends, I was looking for somewhere for round two when I found out there's a new hot spot in Isu, so I went to check out Rainbow Pocha Isu Branch ★
How far is Rainbow Pocha from Isu Station, and is there parking?
It's a 2-minute walk from Isu Station Exit 11, so it's really close to the station and easy to find haha. But there's no parking, so I'd recommend taking public transit! You're going drinking anyway, so you'd have to leave the car behind either way~ 😉
Outdoor platform seats and second-floor indoor floor seating
Right as you walk in, you see the outdoor platform seating! With yellow flooring and mother-of-pearl tables, it's totally retro-concept and great for photos 📸 It's the perfect spot for a drink outside in weather this breezy (๑❛ᴗ❛๑)
Come inside on the ground floor and there's plenty of group seating right in the center, making it perfect for company dinners or after-parties too 👥 There are also separate sofa seats and private rooms, plus an indoor smoking room and a screen, so it covers everything from small to large gatherings!
I went up to the 2nd floor too, and there's indoor platform seating there as well~~ The wide-open windows give it a nice open feeling so it doesn't feel stuffy, and it still has that pocha vibe ღ Both the outdoor and indoor platform seats can be reserved via Naver Reservation, so I'd recommend booking ahead❗ They also give a 10% discount coupon if you visit with a reservation, so make sure to grab that *^_^*
How many dishes and drinks are on the menu?
Flipping through the menu, from the signature dakbokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken) to meal items, side dishes, and desserts, there were over 60 items — a total all-rounder of a bar 🤔 The drink selection is varied too, with soju, beer, draft beer, highball, whiskey, makgeolli, and traditional liquor, so it's easy to pick based on your taste 🍺

And apparently they just released a new menu item, dakbal-poomeun-gopdoritang! The spice is adjustable across 4 levels, and the spiciest is 100% death spicy,, I bet there are people who order that? ^_ㅠ I couldn't even imagine it, so being a spice wimp, I went with 10% mild haha

Here comes today's main dish, dakbal-poomeun-gopdoritang! It's a dish where you get chicken thigh meat, daechang (beef intestine), and chicken feet all together in one pot, and the visual alone is incredible,,♥ㅅ♥ The portion is seriously massive, packed to the brim in the pot 😳
There's glass noodles in there too! Scooping up glass noodles soaked in the broth is so good ♥ Even though I ordered it mild, it was still a little spicy~ but it wasn't just spicy for the sake of it, it had a delicious kind of heat that kept my hand reaching back for more 🌶️
The chicken thigh meat was softly cooked, and the daechang had a chewy texture with rich, fatty flavor that blended well with the broth. The chicken feet were boneless so they were easy to eat, and the spicy seasoning soaked in well, making it truly the best, best drinking snack 👍👍👍
As I kept eating, I kept craving rice,, I think ordering something like a rice ball and mixing it into the broth would be amazing ♥ We were too full to order it but ^^; next time we're definitely ordering that too~~
