Sunday dinner at a Hwigyeong-dong galbitang restaurant: Hoegi Wang
Hoegi Wang Galbitang is a galbitang (beef short rib soup) restaurant on Imun-ro in Hwigyeong-dong, near Hoegi Station in Dongdaemun, Seoul. Arriving on a Sunday at 6pm with his girlfriend, the writer waited about 10 minutes and ordered two servings of Wongi Hoebok Galbitang (2 ribs) at 16,000 won each, with big rib bones carrying plenty of meat alongside the broth and rice. Hoegi Wang Galbitang is the galbitang spot to keep in mind near Hoegi Station when the weather turns cool and you need an energy boost.
