Where is Wangchang Jokbal near Sunae Station?
Wangchang Jokbal (왕창족발) is a well-loved jokbal spot on the ground floor of Daeduk Glory Building, within about 5 minutes of Sunae Station Exit 1 in Bundang.
I'd already been here once for a company dinner and once for takeout, and this time I came with friends!
Also known as a great spot near Bundang Jungang Park, Wangchang Jokbal lets you enjoy everything from tender original jokbal to spicy fire jokbal in a half-and-half order, so on weekdays it's almost always full by 6:30pm...

The tables at Wangchang Jokbal are spaced widely, and you can tell at a glance that the place is kept clean! There are plenty of tables, enough for groups too. Even though I went on a weekday, there was a company dinner booked for 6pm, so if I'd been a little later I might have missed out.. Highly recommended for a Sunae company dinner or gathering..!
Wangchang Jokbal menu: original and spicy jokbal plus sides
The mains at Wangchang Jokbal are original jokbal and spicy jokbal, and ordering half-and-half costs ₩2,000 extra. Besides jokbal there are lots of sides, like jaengban makguksu (buckwheat noodles on a platter), jjamppong ramen soup, spicy sujebi (hand-torn dough soup), chive pancake, kimchi pancake, herring roe bibimbap and salted oysters, so with a bigger group you could order a bit of everything!?
They say Wangchang Jokbal uses only domestic raw pig's trotters from Suwon Livestock Cooperative, HACCP-certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs! They also say they use only organic natural salt for customers' health and never use caramel, so it's a jokbal place you can eat at with confidence..
Wangchang Jokbal side dishes, salted oysters and free steamed egg
The side dishes at Wangchang Jokbal are warm napa cabbage soybean paste soup, wrap vegetables, seasoned chives, what looked like dried radish kimchi?, pickled radish for wraps, salted shrimp and garlic, chili peppers, ssamjang (wrap sauce), and a small portion of ♥eorigulgjeot (salted oysters)♥! (+₩9,000 for more)
Ahh.. this place is seriously great for salted oysters.. not a hint of fishiness ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I'd come back just because I keep thinking about it 🥲

Wangchang Jokbal large half-and-half: price and taste
Our original + spicy half-and-half jokbal in the large size arrived! The large at Wangchang Jokbal is ₩49,000, plus the half-and-half upgrade, for ₩51,000 total.
The spicy jokbal is seasoned and then stir-fried, so it was full of smoky flavor, and anyway, warm jokbal fresh out of the kitchen? It can't possibly be bad ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
It wasn't just lean meat; there were lots of soft collagen parts mixed in too, so I never got tired of it!
Chewy, soft, it has everything.. ㅠㅠ
Favorite pairing for original jokbal: salted oysters
The original jokbal at Wangchang Jokbal tastes even better with salted shrimp or dried radish kimchi, or with the salted oysters!!!!! My favorite combo was original jokbal + salted oysters ㅠㅠ
How spicy is the Wangchang spicy jokbal?
The spicy jokbal at Wangchang was nicely spicy and easy to eat. The sauce isn't strongly sweet, so I didn't get sick of it and enjoyed it to the end 🤩💫
When I asked for extra chili peppers, they gave me a huge pile haha
The spicy jokbal is great wrapped in lettuce, so I recommend eating it with wraps! The biggest plus of Wangchang Jokbal is that the jokbal isn't pre-sliced but cut when you order, so you get moist jokbal.. ♡
The staff were kind and quick too, so it was a satisfying evening, hehe
Is a large jokbal enough for three women?
The large at Wangchang Jokbal was just the right amount for three women, and for a more filling meal, adding one side dish would be good. You know the meat stuck to the bone is the tastiest, right? We asked for plastic gloves and gnawed on a bone too haha
We had somewhere to go for round two, so we ordered only jokbal, but next time I plan to try the sides too, haha. Wangchang Jokbal is my recommendation for a company dinner, a jokbal meal or a gathering near Sunae Station in Bundang!
