Suwon BBQ buffet with fall-off-the-bone ribs: Texas BBQ Aloha

What is Texas BBQ Aloha like?

Texas BBQ Aloha is a BBQ spot near Manseok Park in Jangan-gu, Suwon, and it comes with a mini buffet too. I went because of the buffet and its Jangan-gu BBQ reputation, and I was happy enough to share it with you ^^ Parking right in front of the restaurant made things so easy~

Lucky for the locals near Manseok Park and the office workers, who can have protein-packed BBQ for lunch or dinner whenever they like. The restaurant is fairly spacious and a good place to bring a child, too.

What's in the salad bar at Texas BBQ Aloha?

With one order per person, you get the unlimited salad bar. It has smoked whole-slab pork belly bacon that beats pork belly someone else grilled for you, Texas-style ribs, back ribs, steak and more.

There are leafy greens and a light konjac spicy noodle salad (jjolmyeon, chewy wheat noodles). The konjac noodle salad is secretly spicy and really good? You have to try it, hahaha.

Wow, so many sauces. Cheddar sauce, spicy BBQ sauce, strawberry jam, mayonnaise, oriental dressing, sweet chili and more. I loved having that much choice.

The olives were in great shape, and the pickled radish was dyed with beet and looked so pretty. Jalapeños with BBQ are heavenly~

Dishes and dessert for kids

The salad bar also has loads of kid favorites: cream pasta, dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken), pulled pork burgers, snacks, fried items, garlic toast, sausages and more. A Texas BBQ buffet that's great with children!

For dessert there are mini muffins and mini candies. I love that dessert is covered~ I had a candy before I left.

If you clear your plate, you get one Americano per person! Finish everything and have a coffee on your way out!

How were the portion and taste of the steak platter for 2?

At Texas BBQ Aloha I ordered the steak mixed platter, which comes with three things: pork neck steak, ribs and BBQ pork belly. It also has wasabi, tortillas and arugula on top.

I wondered whether it would be too small for two, but with the self-bar on top it was a huge amount and we got really full. The steak in the photo is the 2-person platter.

You can dip the BBQ in the special sauce, which cuts the richness, so it tastes much better dipped. The BBQ pork belly is just so good!

Pork neck steak with garlic sauce

This pork neck was my favorite: great texture, tender, and the sauce was tasty. Perfect for my taste! Kids would really love it too.

I normally don't like pork neck grilled, so why is this so good?! The salty-sweet garlic sauce was totally my style, and halfway through I got really curious about the pulled pork platter too.

How tender are the ribs at Texas BBQ Aloha?

Last I tried the ribs, and they were so tender, honestly so tender that the meat and bone separated right away. Maybe because they're smoked rather than grilled, they tasted even better. Slow-cooked in smoke so the meat's own flavor shines through~ Suwon BBQ hotspot, confirmed!!

The meat wasn't tough at all, had no gamey smell, and the sauce was great, so I came away completely smitten with the BBQ at Texas BBQ Aloha. Seriously, try the ribs here and you'll be shocked at how tender they are.

White rice and kimchi fried rice are help-yourself. The BBQ was so, so good that I went back for white rice once more.

A bite of rib with olive and pineapple wrapped in a tortilla is delicious too. If you're looking for a Jangan-gu spot for a family get-together, or a buffet to visit with kids, I recommend Texas BBQ Aloha by Manseok Park!
