I ate at That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge (그남자의이태리식당&라운지) in Jungang-dong, Ansan, with my parents. We shared lamb rib steak, pasta, and risotto, and it was a good setting for a family meal in a calm atmosphere.

Where is it, and how did we park?
The restaurant is in Dongwon Building at 40 Gojan 1-gil, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, South Korea. There is an elevator in the building. However, the source lists the sixth floor in the address and map but the fifth floor in the text, so the floor needs confirmation.
We used the public parking lot in front of Dongwon Building. The parking benefit stated in the source was one hour free, after which charges apply. It also said that if the lot is full, ₩2,000 in cash is provided when using the Lotte Cinema Central Rock parking lot.

The hours listed in the source are noon to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. There is a break from 3 to 5 p.m., and last orders are at 9 p.m. It is listed as regularly closed every Monday.

What was the atmosphere like for a meal with parents?
The chandelier was the first thing I noticed. The modern interior combined soft lighting with calm music. We came with my parents, but I also thought it would suit a couple having an anniversary meal.

There was also a terrace outside. It looked like a nice place for a glass of wine when the weather is good, and I thought it would feel even more atmospheric once the lights came on in the evening.

Are there facilities for family gatherings or children?
Each table was set with tableware. At the back of the restaurant are private rooms for groups of six or more, and two rooms can be joined to accommodate up to 18 people. It is listed as accommodating up to 40 people including the hall, so advance reservations are recommended for group gatherings.

The open kitchen at the back looked neat. The restroom was also at the very back of the restaurant, which was convenient, and I felt the interior was kept clean.

High chairs are available, and babies and children can come along. Aprons were hanging at the back of the restaurant as well. Once we were seated, staff brought over a table lamp, making the meal feel cozier.

What did we order, and how much was it?
The menu included everything from course meals to appetizers, salads, soups, steaks, pasta, risotto, and desserts. Wine, highballs, and beer were available as well.

We ordered using the tablet on the table. These were the dishes we chose and the prices listed in the source.
- Lamb rib steak: ₩43,900
- Spicy chicken tomato spaghetti: ₩20,900
- Shrimp rosé risotto: ₩19,900

How were the bread and rosé risotto?
The bread before the meal arrived warm from the oven. It was lightly crisp outside and moist inside, so it was good even on its own.

It was not dry, and it paired well with the balsamic sauce served alongside it. It whetted my appetite before the main dishes.

I ordered the shrimp rosé risotto because my mother likes rosé sauce. It contained shrimp, flying fish roe, and bisque sauce, and I could feel the textures of the ingredients and rice grains. We all especially liked the sauce and found it delicious.

Was the spicy chicken tomato spaghetti very hot?
This was tomato-sauce spaghetti topped with chicken thigh marinated in red curry. Although “spicy” is in the name, it did not taste strongly spicy to me. It was only mildly spicy, which helped cut the richness when eaten with the risotto.

The chicken thigh on top was not dry; it was tender and moist. I also liked the sauce, so I finished the dish.

How were the aroma and doneness of the lamb ribs?
The lamb rib steak comes with two pieces, totaling 220 g. It is described as using French rack from lamb under 12 months old. We could choose the doneness, so we ordered it medium-rare.

The accompanying vegetables were also grilled just right and went well with the lamb ribs. The sauces and seasonings served with it were whole-grain mustard, kiwi sauce, salt and pepper, and balsamic.

My parents had been concerned about the distinctive aroma of lamb. But after taking a bite, they said there was no unpleasant smell and that it was tender. For our family, it was lamb we could eat without feeling burdened.

The tender texture of the lamb ribs and the shrimp rosé risotto sauce stood out most from this meal. The staff were kind as well. I felt it would be nice to return not only for a meal with my parents, but also to celebrate an anniversary with a partner.
