Italian restaurant in Ansan for deboned lamb ribs: That Man's

In short

That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is an Italian restaurant on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building in Ansan. I visited with my child for an anniversary meal and had squid ink risotto, carbonara, and deboned lamb ribs. The windowed dining room felt calm, and the lamb ribs were especially easy to cut and eat.

I visited That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge (그남자의이태리식당&라운지) in Jungang-dong, Ansan, for an anniversary meal with my child. We had squid ink risotto, carbonara, and lamb ribs; what stayed with me most was how easily I could cut and eat the lamb ribs, which had been deboned before cooking.

What is the atmosphere like for an anniversary meal?

On the sixth floor of Dongwon Building, the restaurant was on the right. Its white and green exterior caught my eye, and inside, the floor-to-ceiling windows made the space feel open. Soft jazz and classical music played, while the dimmed lighting made it a calm place to eat.

The table was neatly set from the start, which made me feel well looked after. The restroom was clean, too.

Is there space for family meals or group gatherings?

There was a private room inside. The information stated that it can accommodate up to 18 people, or up to 40 including the hall, and that private rental is available. With a separate space, I thought it could be worth considering for a family gathering or an important appointment.

How were the bread and the service for my child?

The bread served before the meal came warm.

They noticed I was with my child and also brought strawberry jam, which I appreciated.

What did the squid ink risotto taste like?

The squid ink risotto was introduced as a signature dish.

I was told that it was topped with a whole squid from Ulleungdo. The nuttiness of the ink went well with the savory depth of the seafood, and the seasoning suited my taste. The squid was tender and easy to eat with the risotto.

The food was also presented neatly, making the whole table look appealing. Having the soft risotto alongside the pasta was satisfying.

How were the carbonara sauce and pasta texture?

I also ordered carbonara, one of my usual favorites. I had saved this place for some time, so it was especially nice to finally try it.

Carbonara ordered at the restaurant

It had a rich, nutty, and salty flavor, with a thick sauce that clung to the noodles. The pasta was on the firm side, which suited my preference for noodles with more bite rather than very soft ones.

Were the deboned lamb ribs easy to eat?

The lamb ribs I had were deboned in advance, then shaped into a round form and grilled.

Lamb ribs with the bones attached can be cumbersome to eat, but I could cut this dish with a knife like a steak.

It retained lamb's distinctive flavor while remaining easy to eat. It did not feel overwhelming to me, and I finished it all with the sauce.

How were the portions and dessert information?

Overall, I felt the portions were generous. Considering both the food and atmosphere, I was also satisfied with the price, though the original post did not include individual menu prices or the total paid.
