Cheonan garden café, egg mayo cobb salad and misugaru latte: Pino Cafe
In short
Pino Cafe Cheonan is a large brunch café with a main hall, an annex and an outdoor garden on Hyuyangnim-gil in Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam. On a late weekday afternoon the writer just missed the happy-hour set, so ordered a tomato-loaded pasta, an egg mayo cobb salad, a green grape ade and an iced misugaru (roasted grain) latte at a table in front of the main hall, then walked a loop of Pino Garden and Pino Park. Pino Cafe Cheonan works well as an unusual date spot that combines a meal, café time and a garden stroll in one visit.

Where do you park at Pino Cafe?
Pino Cafe has plenty of parking. There's Lot 1 in front of the main hall, Lot 2 behind the Siyudang building and Lot 3 beside the annex, and if all three are full you can use the public lot in front of the Taehaksan management office!!
Entrance photo zone and pet rules
At the entrance there are red ribbon decorations and a teddy bear photo zone. I felt Christmassy the moment I arrived, and I wondered if it was the red ribbons, haha. Starting with the bear photo spot, this is a big Cheonan café where you end up taking a crazy number of photos.

At the entrance there are rules for bringing dogs, and a notice saying the outdoor area is open only after you order.

It's a pet-friendly business, and a magazine featuring an article about Pino Cafe is on display too.
The annex and main hall on a late weekday afternoon
I visited late on a weekday afternoon, and the annex was empty. When the weekend crowds come, there's a self-service corner in the annex so everyone can use it comfortably.
Ordering at the main hall counter

To get to the outdoor garden you first order at the main hall counter.. Sadly the happy hour set was already 30 minutes past, so I skipped it and ordered the tomato pasta (토마토듬뿍파스타) and the egg mayo cobb salad. For drinks I got an iced misugaru (roasted grain) latte and a green grape ade.

After ordering I spotted the charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter! I thought, I'll have to try that next time. There are also light bites like salt bread and cookies.

Even in the main hall, guests seem to eat and then head outside. Honestly, I think the main hall is more comfortable for eating. When our order came out I hesitated a little, then went outside.
Pasta and salad in the Pino Cafe outdoor garden

Our order came on two trays, so we decided to eat at a table in front of the Pino Cafe main hall and then look around the garden.

I was curious about the happy hour set too, but our visit time didn't fit, so we picked à la carte dishes. With pasta, salad and potato chips laid out on the table, it made a hearty meal.

How were the tomato pasta and egg mayo cobb salad?
As the name suggests, the tomato pasta came with plenty of tomato sauce, which looked great with the noodles. The egg mayo cobb salad was colorful, with vegetables, egg and other toppings, and went nicely alongside the pasta. The potato chips were crunchy, handy for picking at between bites.

The Pino Cafe kitty is dozing right beside us.

Green grape ade and iced misugaru latte
For drinks we each picked something different, the green grape ade and the iced misugaru latte, to suit our own tastes. We couldn't use the happy hour set, but it was nice to choose what we wanted and enjoy it at a relaxed pace.

Strolling Pino Garden and Pino Park, and the red windmill
The outdoor garden at Pino Cafe is divided into Pino Garden and Pino Park. After eating, it was fun to take a slow lap, garden first and then park. I also saw a small hut and cute decorations, and it looked like a nice place to rest while gazing at the green scenery.
If you're looking for a large café in Cheonan, it's worth checking out the outdoor spaces too.

This is the red windmill, Pino Cafe Cheonan's signature landmark. It would have been so pretty if I'd come when the flowers were in full bloom..
How does the Pino Cafe camnic area work?
I also saw a sign for Pino Cafe's "Romantic Camnic" (camping + picnic). The camping area has its own usage guide, so it's best to check reservations and conditions before you go. There are tables and parasols on the lawn, and a space where you can get a camping feel.
Rather than just eating and leaving, it was a place with an atmosphere that invites you to linger and take photos. Having a meal and café time in one spot and then exploring the outdoor space made for a nicely different kind of day.

Is Pino Cafe a good unusual date spot in Cheonan?
If you're looking for pasta at a Cheonan brunch café or an unusual date spot, put Pino Cafe on your list. It suited a day when you want to eat and rest in an open, airy outdoor setting.
