Dotdot Milyang Main Branch (돗돗 밀양본점) is a fresh pork belly (saeng-ogyeopsal) BBQ restaurant on Miribeoljungang-ro 5-gil in Milyang, Gyeongnam. After a weekend outing in Milyang with a child, the writer arrived right at opening time as the first customer and ordered 4 servings of fresh ogyeopsal, tiger bean doenjang (soybean paste) stew and grilling cheese; the sides stood out most, especially olive kimchi, maeljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), whole garlic in saeujeot (salted shrimp) and tarae cabbage salad. Dotdot Milyang Main Branch is worth a visit on a day you want thick fresh pork belly with a wide spread of sides.

Milyang Chinese restaurant: meaty kids' jjajangmyeon, Milyang Dol

Milyang Dol Jjamppong (밀양돌짬뽕) is a Chinese restaurant specializing in sizzling stone-plate jjamppong (spicy noodle soup), located on Baengmin-ro in Milyang, Gyeongnam, near Yeongnamnu and Milyang City Hall. The writer arrived at the 10:30 weekend opening with her husband and daughter, became the first customer and ordered nurungji (scorched rice) stone jjamppong, a pork and chicken tangsuyuk set and the meaty kids' jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles); a baby-food microwave and plenty of high chairs made eating with a child easy. Even the kids' jjajangmyeon ordered for her daughter was delicious, making Milyang Dol Jjamppong a family spot she wants to revisit on every Milyang outing.

Family Korean dinner on a Daegu trip: kid's bulgogi set, Cafe Dongi

Cafe Dongi Daemyeong Station Branch is a Korean restaurant near Daemyeong Station in Daemyeong-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu, serving neat Korean set meals. On a weekend Daegu trip, a family of three had dinner there: the flame-grilled jeyuk (spicy pork) set, the jjukkumi (stir-fried webfoot octopus) set and the Little Explorer bulgogi kids' set. The fry-your-own-egg self bar and the spicy, rich doenjang (soybean paste) stew stood out. Cafe Dongi Daemyeong Station Branch is a good fit for an easy, filling Korean dinner with a child in Daegu.
