In short
Garu Seonsaeng Drinkable Raw Soy Milk Seoritae 99.3 is an unsweetened Korean seoritae powder for mixing into soy milk-style drinks. I tried it in cold water as a quick breakfast substitute; it dissolved after a few stirs and tasted mild, nutty, and not overly chalky.

While looking for a plant-based protein drink I could make quickly on busy mornings, I came across Garu Seonsaeng Drinkable Raw Soy Milk Seoritae 99.3. I received the product and mixed it with cold water to try it myself.

What are the size, price, and ingredients?
The pouch contains 500g, and the price was ₩16,900 when the original post was written. It was listed as ₩3,380 per 100g. It is made by Humil Co., Ltd. in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do.
This is an unsweetened powder made mainly with Korean seoritae (black soybeans), so I could make as much soy milk-style drink as I needed with just water.

The ingredients listed were just Korean seoritae and sea salt. Korean seoritae makes up 99.3% of the product.

How was delivery and storage after opening?
The information said orders are delivered within an average of two business days, and the delivery felt quick when I received mine too. The product I received had been made on Jun 4. It was also described as being shipped after small-batch production.

One dedicated measuring scoop was included. The pouch has a zip closure, which made it easy to reseal after opening, and it was convenient to keep in one corner of the kitchen and take out when needed. The storage guidance says to keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
How much do you add to water, and does it dissolve in cold water?

Add two scoops of powder using the included scoop to 180ml of water and stir. I could prepare only as much as I wanted to drink instead of making a large batch at once. I could also adjust the amount of water for a thicker or thinner drink.
It can be enjoyed cold or warm, and it is said to work in kongguksu (cold soybean noodle soup), soy lattes, and soy milk oatmeal as well.

I tried it with cold water first. It dissolved smoothly without clumps after only a few stirs. Since it was simple to prepare, I thought it would be useful for mixing a drink while getting ready for work.

How did it taste, and did it leave a chalky finish?
The taste was close to a light soy milk-style drink. The nuttiness of the seoritae came through gently, and it was unsweetened and clean-tasting. There was very little chalky finish after drinking it.
It was on the lighter side when mixed with water, so I personally thought mixing it with milk or soy milk could make it richer and nuttier. What I tried this time was the soy milk-style drink mixed with cold water.

I liked that I could make a glass quickly as a breakfast substitute. My partner, who I live with, was also happy to have something to drink in the morning. I also thought it would be handy to keep on hand for mixing a drink when the refrigerator runs out of soy milk.
