Angry Potato: what I found when I couldn't decide what to eat at the Songdo outlet

Angry Potato Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a new fries and hot dog shop at the Songdo Hyundai outlet. Every time I go, I wonder what to eat today, and somehow I always end up at the same old places, T_T haha. You all do that too, right??

This time too, while shopping and looking for a meal, the newly opened Angry Potato caught my eye!! It so obviously looked brand new that I got curious about the menu and went straight in. I wanted something different from usual, so I was extra excited to have found it while hunting for a good place at the outlet!

Seating and wait time at Angry Potato Songdo

Angry Potato Songdo is by the food court, so it's easy to use. There were plenty of seats nearby, so no wandering around with a tray looking for a spot, and even though everything is cooked once you order, the food came out faster than I expected.

I liked that you can eat without a long wait in the middle of shopping. If you want a quick bite while looking for a good spot at the outlet, I thought the access was pretty decent too.

What I ordered: Chipotle Pulled Pork, Deep Crunch Box, 25cm Big Crunch Hot Dog

At Angry Potato I ordered the Chipotle Pulled Pork, the Deep Crunch Box and the 25cm Big Crunch Hot Dog. At first I didn't know how big the portions were and wondered whether to order extra fries, but once the food started coming out, I realized I'd worried for nothing, haha.

The Deep Crunch Box in particular lets you try the shop's popular items all at once, so it suits anyone who wants to taste a bit of everything. If it's your first time at Angry Potato in Songdo, a set like this is a good way to start.

How does the Chipotle Pulled Pork taste?

The Chipotle Pulled Pork was tender pulled pork with jalapeños, cheddar cheese and chipotle sauce. The meat wasn't dry but moist, and the smoky, spicy chipotle sauce really cut through the richness!

Jalapeños popped in here and there for extra heat, followed by the salty, rich flavor of the cheddar, so I kept reaching for more. With the toppings and sauce together, it felt much fuller than plain fries.

What's in the Deep Crunch Box?

True to its name, the Deep Crunch Box had a properly crisp texture. The outside was crunchy while the inside stayed moist and soft, and picking through the different items one by one was fun.

I like fried food, so I especially loved the crunch, and being able to try several items at once makes it a good order for a first visit. If you can't decide what to eat at Angry Potato in Songdo, starting with something that lets you taste a bit of everything works well.

The 25cm Big Crunch Hot Dog: size and taste

The 25cm Big Crunch Hot Dog caught my eye with its length the moment it arrived. It looked every bit as long as the name says, with spicy chili chicken inside and a thick layer of gooey mac and cheese on top.

The crunchy coating and soft mac and cheese came together in each bite, giving a spicy and savory taste at once, and the hot dog alone was more filling than I expected. If you love cheese, you'll especially like this combo!!

Three dishes on one table: how big are the portions?

The Chipotle Pulled Pork, Deep Crunch Box and Big Crunch Hot Dog alone were so generous that I didn't need to order fries separately. What really surprised me was when everything was laid out: I'd added the hot dog because I didn't know the portions, but with the whole spread on the table, it was plenty.

Each dish looked pretty impressive too, so I took photos first and spent a moment deciding what to eat first. Choosing between the crunchy items and the Chipotle Pulled Pork was part of the fun, and I was so full I was already thinking about outlet desserts!

Who Angry Potato at the Songdo outlet is for

If you're a bit tired of what you usually eat at the outlet, Angry Potato feels like a nice change. It's in the food court so it's easy to reach, and the food comes out fairly quickly, so it's an easy stop in the middle of shopping.

If you like spicy, rich American flavors or crunchy fried food, picking a menu here should be a lot of fun. It also worked when I wanted a proper meal along with dessert, and I'd like to try other dishes at Angry Potato next time, haha.
