Jeju black pork grill with shrimp and ramyeon: Sicheong Geuttaegeujip

In short

Sicheong Geuttaegeujip is a twice-grilled black pork restaurant on Donggwang-ro 1-gil near Jeju City Hall, a short hop from Dongmun Market in Jeju. The black pork set for two brought pork belly and pork neck grilled tableside by staff and dipped in myeoljeot (salted anchovy sauce) or sesame oil, plus steamed egg, black tiger shrimp and a complimentary kimchi stew finished with ramyeon noodles. Sicheong Geuttaegeujip has no parking lot of its own, but one table covers everything from black pork to house-made sikhye for dessert.

Leaving Jeju without eating black pork feels like leaving homework undone, haha 🐷🔥

This time I visited 200℃ twice-grilled black pork Sicheong Geuttaegeujip. The exterior already screams Jeju, the kind of place that catches your eye even just passing by 🌿

Inside, the table spacing felt just right and the whole vibe was comfortable 🪑✨ Great for a family visit, but also perfect for friends grabbing black pork and drinks 🍻

On one side there was info about a receipt review and SNS event 📱🎁 Apparently joining gets you house-made sikhye — hard to pass up a little event like that 😋 Eat meat, then finish with cold sikhye, sounds like a clean ending. My participation rate skyrockets for anything food-related 😂

Turns out they have branches all over Jeju 🐷 Aewol, Hamdeok, Sicheong, Sehwa, Jungmun, Nohyeong, Pyoseon, Airport, Hallim, Saekdal, and Sanbangsan Panpo branches.

The restaurant also had a Korean pork certification mark on display 🏅🐷 Coming here specifically for black pork, seeing that kind of certification just adds reassurance.

Self-serve banchan refills and how the lunch special works

Sicheong Geuttaegeujip has a self-serve corner set up 🥬✨ You can grab as much kimchi and various side dishes as you like — really convenient.

Sometimes it feels awkward calling a staff member over just because your side dishes ran low, but here you can freely refill without worry 😆 Just remember to only take what you'll actually eat 🙌

With the lunch special, rice and ramyeon are unlimited refills 🍚🍜 Just note it doesn't apply after 3pm, and rice bowls are charged separately. Visit for lunch and you can properly fill up on meat, rice, and ramyeon 😍

What comes with the black pork set for two?

After carefully browsing the menu, we settled on the black pork set for two 🐷🔥 Having come all the way to Jeju, we had to eat black pork properly. All that menu deliberation ultimately just led back to meat — a very sensible conclusion, haha 😆

Menu page listing the black pork set

One wall had a detailed introduction to the characteristics and benefits of Jeju black pork 🐷📖 Info about unsaturated fatty acids, protein, vitamins and more, good reading while waiting for the order. After reading that, you almost feel healthier just eating the meat, haha 😂

Before the meat itself arrived, the side dishes were set up one by one 😋 Ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, pickled onions, shredded scallions, and a generous variety of basic banchan came out 🥬

Good meat is great, but having a variety of side dishes to pair with it really changes how fun each bite is 👍

Lettuce wraps and dipping sauces were prepped, plus kimchi, bean sprouts, and bracken fern showed up 🌿 All great combos for grilling alongside the meat, so anticipation was already rising 🔥 The table was full before the meat even arrived — my eyes were already full, haha 😆

Thick-cut Jeju black pork, grilled at the table by staff

Finally, the black pork set arrived 🐷🔥🔥 Thick black pork along with shrimp, mushrooms, kimchi, bean sprouts, and bracken fern piled onto one pan — the visual alone was impressive 😍 Even while taking photos, the sizzling made me anxious to dig in.

What I liked was that a staff member came over and grilled the meat perfectly 🙌🔥 With thick-cut black pork, you always worry about burning it or leaving it undercooked if you mess with it yourself, so leaving it to an expert's hands was truly convenient.

The nicely browned black pork was cut into bite-sized pieces, ready to eat 😍🔥

Properly seared outside, juicy-looking inside — the moment I saw it my mouth started watering. With kimchi, bean sprouts, and bracken fern grilling alongside, one bite of meat, one bite of the sides, and my hand kept reaching back 😋

Pork belly in myeoljeot, pork neck with sesame oil

Black pork belly really has to be dipped generously in melchet, fermented anchovy sauce 🐷🔥 The salty, savory sauce really brought out the meat's rich flavor 😋 Eating Jeju black pork without melchet just feels incomplete, haha 😂

For the pork neck, I topped it with sesame oil and garlic for one bite 😍 The mild, juicy pork neck paired with fragrant sesame oil and garlic was a really great combo 🧄🥩

Then I loaded lettuce with meat, kimchi, bracken fern, and scallions for a full bite 🥬 A lettuce wrap has to be big to be good. That's exactly what a big mouth is for, haha 😂

Steamed egg, black tiger shrimp and the free kimchi stew

The black pork set came with steamed egg too 🥚✨ Soft, fluffy steamed egg was great to spoon in between bites of meat 😋

And the set also included black tiger shrimp 🦐🔥 They were bigger than expected, so having shrimp along with the meat made the whole meal feel quite substantial. Peel off the nicely browned shell and the plump, springy flesh pops out 😍

A kimchi stew came out complimentary too 🍲🔥 Loaded with tofu and kimchi, with a spicy broth that paired perfectly after all that meat 😋 The kimchi itself was so good the stew broth had a really deep flavor too.

Finishing the kimchi stew with ramyeon noodles

Ending it there would've been a shame 😎 I dropped ramyeon noodles straight into the kimchi stew 🍜🔥 I was already fairly full, but the moment I saw the ramyeon, suddenly a new stomach compartment appeared, haha 😂

Ramyeon noodles added into the kimchi stew

I lifted up a big bundle of the well-cooked, bubbling ramyeon 🍜😍 The kimchi stew broth soaked into the noodles perfectly, giving it a spicy, rich flavor.

Eating meat and finishing with ramyeon really felt like a proper full meal 👍 I'll restart my diet once I'm off Jeju, haha 😂

House-made sikhye, tangerine juice and parking near Sicheong Geuttaegeujip

After finishing the meal, I noticed cold slushies set up on one side of Sicheong Geuttaegeujip 🥤❄️ When your mouth feels a bit greasy after all that meat, a cold drink like this is the perfect finish 😋

They had sikhye (sweet rice drink) and citrus juice, so I tried both 🍊🥤 The citrus juice was refreshing, but personally I liked the sikhye more 😍 Sweet and cold, it was a great palate cleanser after the meat.

They also sell the house-made sikhye separately 🥤 500ml for ₩2,000, with unlimited paper cup servings available 😆 If you love sikhye, feel free to enjoy plenty while dining.

On one side they were also selling Jeju-flavored souvenir snacks 🍪🎁 Nice to browse casually on your way out after the meal.

While looking around, I spotted a familiar name 👀 There was even an autograph from Lim Young-woong 😆✨

I checked the parking situation too 🚗 There's no dedicated lot for the restaurant, so you'll need to use nearby parking — worth noting before you visit.

Being near Jeju City Hall made it easy to pair with other plans in the area 🐷🔥 From black pork to shrimp, kimchi stew, ramyeon, and dessert, that was my full meal at 200℃ twice-grilled black pork Sicheong Geuttaegeujip 😋👍
