Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch: location and hours
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch (편편집 영종하늘도시점) is at 17 Haneulbyeolbit-ro 65beon-gil, Units 301 and 302, Jung-gu, Incheon, South Korea. It is open daily 11:30 to 24:00 (last order 23:00). It's known as a go-to for family gatherings in Yeongjong Sky City, and the entrance is so clean that it passes the first-impression test 😊
Even before I opened the door, it had that popular family-gathering-spot feel. My stomach had already finished warming up on anticipation alone before we even went in 😆

Inside Pyeonpyeonjip: is it comfortable with kids?
The inside is spacious and bright, so it was easy to relax over a meal. The tables aren't cramped, so it works for family or for friends. There are even window seats, so you get a bit of atmosphere along with your meal 😋

High chairs and aprons are provided, which makes it good for visiting with a child. Little touches like this are secretly what really get you, right?

Buffet time limit and what to watch out for
The sign said the refill time is 2 hours. If you leave food behind there is an environmental surcharge, so only take what you can eat.
If you get greedy at an all-you-can-eat, your plate will go on strike before your stomach does 😂

Must-grab at the self-bar: the soy meat sauce
The self-bar has a soy sauce for meat, and I really recommend it. Dip your meat in it and the savory depth shoots up, and suddenly your chopsticks get very diligent. One sauce takes the flavor up a level 😍

You load your vegetables onto the plates set up above. There were plenty of plates, so it was easy to use. Vegetable-loading prep done, now it's time to convince my stomach 🥬😆
There was a wide variety of shabu ingredients and rice paper roll ingredients. Onions, bean sprouts, carrots and other vegetables made picking and choosing fun. This isn't a vegetable corner, it's a healthy-greed corner 😄

There was even tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and a toaster, so the sides were solid too. I came for meat, and running into tteokbokki shook my resolve a little. This is Pyeonpyeonjip, not a buffet, right? 😂
Rice for making shabu porridge was also ready. If you love a porridge finish, this is where your happy button gets pressed. Stuffed but still room for porridge is the golden rule, isn't it 🍚😊

Step 1: how long is the wait for the Pyeonpyeonjip box?
We ordered the 2-person buffet, and the Pyeonpyeonjip box took about 11 minutes to come out. The box comes with meat and vegetables together, so waiting had its own fun. Watching the timer felt a bit like waiting for something delicious 😆

While waiting, we got the chili sauce and peanut sauce ready. Just looking at the sauces, I was already grinning at the thought of rice paper rolls.

The Pyeonpyeonjip box finally arrived. The meat and vegetables come neatly packed in the box, and it looked really hearty. The reward for the 11-minute wait landed right in front of me 😍

When I took a wide shot of the whole table, the spread was truly generous. The meat box, the vegetable plate, the sauces and the rice paper roll ingredients make your stomach feel full just by looking.

Rice paper roll ingredients and the box meat
The rice paper roll ingredients were colorful and nice to look at. Carrots, corn, pickled radish, perilla leaves and egg strips go in however you like. It's practically a little wrap art project made by my own hands 🎨🥬

I picked up meat and napa cabbage together, ready for a feeding frenzy. The meat from the steamer was tender and mild, and went well with the vegetables. You know that flavor where you stop talking after the first bite? 😆

Eating the vegetables with the meat dumplings made the combination even better. Fragrant vegetables on mild meat kept my hand going back. These aren't chopsticks, they're an automatic intake device 😋

Dipped in the soy meat sauce, it was really delicious. Salty with a scallion aroma, it matched the meat perfectly. This sauce isn't just a supporting actor, it's practically the lead 😍

Step 2: order broth at the kiosk for shabu-shabu
Once you finish the Pyeonpyeonjip box, you can order broth at the kiosk. It feels like enjoying it a second time, so it's as full as a course meal. Not one and done but the next round starting, and my stomach tenses up 😂

They also prepared meat for shabu separately. It's thinly sliced, so it was nice to dip briefly into the broth. From here on, the shabu-shabu players enter 🥩😊
We asked for the basic seafood broth and the spicy seafood broth. Being able to enjoy two broths together let everyone eat to their taste. Even a spice-wimp and a soup lover can reach a peace treaty 😆

They also put in plenty of shabu vegetables. With bean sprouts, napa cabbage and mushrooms going in, I could feel the broth getting tastier. The more vegetables went in, the more the broth seemed to grow 🥬🍲

Eating well-cooked meat and vegetables together was very satisfying. It's all-you-can-eat, so it was nice to keep eating without worry. By now my stomach is full but my heart is still calling for refills 😂
Kids' zone, claw machine and coffee machine too
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch also has a kids' zone, so it's a good place to visit with children. With a play space, it must be paradise for little ones. Meat heaven for adults, play heaven for kids, a perfect division of labor 😊
There's also a claw machine, which I think kids will love even more. It's nice to have a little something to enjoy before and after the meal. Of course, it's a secret that adults secretly want to try it too 😆

A coffee machine is provided for dessert, so the finish was tidy too. Eating until you're full and then having a cup of coffee feels like the end credits of a meal.
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch: how was it for a family meal?
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch had a solid buffet setup and an atmosphere good for visiting with family 😊 With high chairs, a kids' zone, a self-bar and dessert coffee, it was comfortable to eat there. Going from the Pyeonpyeonjip box to shabu-shabu felt like a 2-step experience, and I was very satisfied. If you're looking for a good place to eat in Yeongjong Sky City, I'd recommend it for a family meal 😋
