In short
Gyeongseo Jeilgo (경서제일고) is an aged pork restaurant in Seohae, Incheon, between Gyeongseo-dong and Cheongna-dong, where staff grill the meat for you and dogs are allowed indoors. The writer ordered 2 servings of Jeil aged pork belly for 35,800 won and a Palpal doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) for 6,000 won, and enjoyed the clean-tasting pork with no gamey smell, the herring roe that wasn't fishy and the nutty, slightly spicy stew. Can you bring your dog into Gyeongseo Jeilgo?

Yes, it's a dog-friendly restaurant in Incheon that allows dogs indoors. You must bring a carrier bag or stroller and follow basic pet etiquette. The owner and staff were all pet-friendly, so we had a comfortable meal :)
Gyeongseo Jeilgo menu and what we ordered

Gyeongseo Jeilgo serves many kinds of pork, including aged pork belly, flower neck (kkotmoksal), thinly sliced pork belly (daepae samgyeopsal) and handmade marinated ribs. Besides single items there are set menus that combine several cuts, plus meal dishes to go with the meat, making it a satisfying meal near Incheon Airport.

✅What we ordered
- Jeil aged pork belly, 2 servings: ₩35,800
- Palpal doenjang stew (soybean paste stew): ₩6,000
- Steamed rice: ₩1,000
- Drink: ₩2,000

The side dishes were neatly laid out and go well with the meat: ssam vegetables (lettuce wraps), shredded scallion salad, pickled onions, seaweed, white kimchi, garlic and more.
How does the staff-grilled Jeil aged pork belly taste?

Next came the Jeil aged pork belly, one of Gyeongseo Jeilgo's signature dishes. It's thick, with a good ratio of fat to lean meat, and the lean part had a rosy red color that looked fresh at a glance. Haha.

There's a grilling service, so the staff cook the meat for you from start to finish, just right for its condition. I liked being able to eat comfortably without the hassle of grilling.

The golden-brown pork belly was clean with no gamey smell, as aged meat should be, and so juicy that I could tell the quality was good from the first bite!

Eating it with the side dishes kept it interesting with no chance of getting tired of it. Little secret.. haha. The herring roe in particular wasn't fishy at all and had a fun popping texture, so definitely have it with the meat.😋
Finishing with Palpal doenjang stew and rice

The Palpal doenjang stew (₩6,000) comes in an earthenware pot, so it stays hot the whole meal. The broth is savory and spicy at the same time, and it was so good that I recommend it.

I mixed rice into it and the bowl was gone in no time! It was a really satisfying finish to the meal. Haha.
Gyeongseo Jeilgo is an aged pork specialist with many meat dishes, from pork belly to flower neck and handmade marinated ribs, and its grilling service means you don't have to cook. Dogs are allowed indoors too, so if you're looking for a dog-friendly restaurant in Cheongna, give it a visit :)
