Car phone mount for steady navigation: 비티냐 360° MagSafe

A newfangled invention @_@ Let me introduce this car phone mount.

So... this was my old car phone mount, and I can barely remember when I got it. From NongHyup Bank... hahaha. My husband went, “Who drives around with something like that!?” and I said, “My dad gave it to me...?” Not quite a Talula moment, but kind of a Talula mount. It was chunky and not much to look at, but the instant its arms or legs spread even a little, my phone would inevitably fall to my feet on curves or speed bumps. A love-hate mount, truly... So I got a new one!! Worth replacing, right? Hahahahahahaha.

How to Use It With iPhone and Android

This is what comes in the box. iPhone 12 and later have MagSafe, so there is no issue, but for iPhone models before 12 or Android phones, you can just attach the MagSafe magnetic ring directly or inside the case—so don’t you worry~~~ The pad with the red sticker is for when your dashboard is bumpy or the surface is not smooth. Pop!!! it on, then turn the dial to suction the mount onto it.

I have a 16 Pro with MagSafe, and I was already using a MagSafe case, so I did not use the magnetic ring separately.

You turn this product left and right to create suction with the dial. No separate sticker is needed, so you can easily remove and reattach it by suction for long-term use—it felt economical and neat~ Turning it side to side was easy, and moving it up and down was easy too. Since it rotates 360°, I loved being able to position my phone in any direction.

Dashboard, Windshield, or Display: Which Is Best?

I had to figure out the best place to use it, so I tried sticking it in a few spots. First, I put it on top of the dashboard. The installation—oh my goodness, was it really this easy...!!! It seemed like a product even parents who find these things difficult could use without trouble.

Next, I attached it to the windshield. When you have time to kill in the car, it seemed nice to put on a drama episode and lie back. But it could be a little distracting while driving, so I decided to pass on this spot!

Then I tried it on the display too. I do not actually look there much, so that might be the best place, but I thought the dashboard was best for me, so that is where I am using it now. If that feels a little inconvenient, though, I might move it down here. I thought adjusting the radio channels could become a hassle, so for now, this spot is a pass too!

And so, its final home is on top of the dashboard~~~ When I am not using it, I can press it down like this, and I can turn it however I want for portrait or landscape use. I tried driving with it turned sideways like this for navigation, and it felt much steadier and more comfortable than my old mount.
