I visited Morimoly (모리몰리, MORIMOLY), tucked into the alleys of Seongsu, which already has a buzz for its hip vibe and one-of-a-kind flavors. If you love tacos, you simply can't walk past this place. Here's my honest review from the store-visit experience.
How do you find Morimoly, and what does the exterior look like?
Morimoly is a taco shop deep in a Seongsu alley, standing out with its bold black exterior and red sign. The charm of Seongsu is the fun of hunting for treasures hidden in every alley.

The intense black exterior grabs your eye from the entrance, and the vivid red sign is striking even before you step inside. As the words 'TACO, KOREAN, MEXICAN, SUSHI' show, you can see Morimoly's unique menu lineup from outside, which builds anticipation. The space has that signature Seongsu feel, so I'd really recommend it as a date spot too.
Morimoly's interior feels like an 80s–90s movie set
Inside, Morimoly is full of cute charm, like a movie set from the 80s and 90s.

Old TVs, videotapes and neatly placed glasses under cozy lighting create Morimoly's distinctive mood. Plants dotted around and exotic posters come together to make it a really good place for photos.

The tidy table area is ideal for a relaxed time in Seongsu. From bar tables to cozy chairs, the thoughtful layout means coming alone feels perfectly natural.
Morimoly's atmosphere and things to look at
Inside, the hip decor feels like stepping into a foreign magazine or comic book, with vintage posters, props and a wall of comic images to look at. The vintage posters and cute props are arranged with such taste that it's great for photos.
Browsing the comic images on the wall means the wait for your order never gets boring. Every detailed touch shows off Morimoly's unique brand identity.
There's a Sony cassette player that looks like it could start playing music, a 'Route 66' style tablecloth, and care in every corner. Add the lush palm trees and cactus decor, and even waiting for your tacos gives you a travel-like thrill.
