In short
Huirit is an Italian restaurant in a converted house between Seongsu and Seoul Forest in Seoul. The outdoor annex has a private room for 3-5 people, the terrace and room allow pets, and the writer ordered truffle paccheri pasta and homemade tomato sauce chapsteak. I'd wanted to visit Huirit, a Seongsu-dong favorite, for ages, so I stopped by on my latest trip to Seongsu .ᐟ

A converted house between Seongsu and Seoul Forest
Huirit sits roughly between Seongsu and Seoul Forest, in a converted house. It's a bit off Seongsu's main street, and I really loved the relaxed atmosphere .ᐟ It's not too far though, so on a nice day it's perfect to walk over while looking around the neighborhood. There's no big signboard, but there's a yellow standing sign at the entrance so it wasn't hard to find .ᐟ I spotted it as soon as I got close haha. Right past the entrance there were outdoor tables, which were great for eating comfortably in this kind of weather.

A 3-5 person private room and how to request seating
Here's the room!! It's set up small in what looks like an outdoor annex space. It fits 3-5 people and looked great for a private setting. Perfect for a small gathering or eating there with friends while chatting away .ᐟ Naver reservations don't let you assign a table, so if you want to sit on the terrace or in the room, they said you need to call the restaurant or book through Catch Table to request it.

Ordering was convenient with the table order system at each table, and outdoors there were QR codes at every table you could use to order.

Beef Wellington needs to be checked at reservation time
One thing I glossed over without much thought when booking was the Beef Wellington — turns out they take a pre-payment deposit for it at reservation time .ᐟ I wasn't thinking about the menu then so I skipped it, but apparently you absolutely must check it at reservation for it to be orderable 🥹 It's Huirit's signature dish, so I'd definitely recommend adding it. Now I have another reason to come back haha.

The menu had a wide variety, from pastas to risottos to salads. There was so much I wanted to try that I agonized for a while before ordering the truffle paccheri pasta and the chapsteak.

Indoor atmosphere and table spacing
The indoor interior atmosphere was so nice it would work well for a date too. The tables had decent spacing, so it was good for having a cozy meal together. There's a kitchen behind the bar table, so if it's an open kitchen with staff around, people who might feel uncomfortable at bar seating could probably still enjoy it comfortably ☺️☺️ Even though I went well past lunchtime, all but 2-3 seats were occupied, so it definitely seemed like a popular spot 👍🏻

Truffle paccheri pasta
This pasta had a strong truffle flavor and a delicious sauce. If you love truffle aroma and taste, this will hit the spot .ᐟ I like truffle, so I dipped the bread that came with the chapsteak into the sauce haha. Interestingly, the paccheri noodles came cut into elongated rectangles. Still, I ate it without much trouble and enjoyed it a lot.

Chapsteak
This dish had a great combination of various vegetables and skirt steak with homemade tomato sauce. The vegetables kept a nice crunch, which paired well with the tender meat. Being a homemade sauce, it tasted different from a plain regular tomato sauce haha. If you like tomato-sauce-based dishes, you'll definitely love this one too .ᐟ
Wrap-up
If you're looking for a quiet restaurant for a date in a peaceful atmosphere a bit away from Seongsu's main street, this place is just right 👍🏻
