Why Our Hair Company Cheomdan for a length-keeping layered cut

I'm growing my hair out, so I wanted to keep as much length as possible and just change the mood. I searched hard for a place that does good layered cuts and ended up at Our Hair Company Cheomdan (아워헤어 컴퍼니 첨단점) in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

A layered cut feels completely different depending on how the layers are made, so I think the designer's skill really matters. This time the style came out exactly the way I wanted, and I was so happy with it!

Location and parking at Our Hair Company Cheomdan

Our Hair Company Cheomdan is inside a commercial building in Ssangam-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, and parking is available. It was easy to find since it's in a commercial building, and being able to park made the visit really convenient. If you're driving, not having to worry about parking is a big plus.

What's the salon atmosphere like?

The first thing I noticed when I walked into Our Hair Company Cheomdan was how spacious and pleasant it was. It doesn't feel cramped at all and is kept neat and clean, so even the waiting time was comfortable. The interior is bright, so it didn't feel intimidating even though it was my first visit, and the staff greeted me kindly, which put me in a good mood to start the consultation.

Two things I asked for in the layered cut consultation

In the layered cut consultation, there were two things I told my designer were most important.

"I want to keep the length as much as possible." "Please add lots of layers to make it light and natural."

With layered cuts, the layers can easily end up too heavy, or so subtle you can't tell, which is disappointing. But my designer listened very carefully to exactly what I wanted.

A cut that considers face shape and hair condition

She looked at my face shape and the current condition of my hair too, and explained in detail how she'd cut it, so I could trust her with it. Throughout the cut she kept checking the length and layering and fine-tuning the details, which impressed me. The moment I saw the finished hair, I was amazed.

The result of the layered cut at Our Hair Company Cheomdan: the length stayed almost exactly the same, while the layers came to life, making my hair feel much lighter and more stylish. It was exactly the style I'd shown in my photo, so I was really happy.

There's a reason people say you should get a layered cut from someone good! I especially loved the line that looks pretty tied up and falls naturally when worn down.

The most memorable part: shampoo and scalp massage

Personally, what I remembered most from this visit to Our Hair Company Cheomdan was the shampoo. They are seriously so good at shampooing. The pressure was just right and the scalp massage felt so refreshing that I caught myself thinking, "I wish they'd wash my hair every day." haha I've often liked a salon's shampoo, but this one was honestly among the best I've had.

The hair-washing time itself was healing. After the blow-dry, I looked in the mirror and the layers connected naturally, and my face even looked a little slimmer. They also kindly showed me how to style it day to day, so it seemed easy to manage at home.

Is the layered cut at Our Hair Company Cheomdan worth recommending?

A layered cut depends hugely on cutting skill, and since my designer shaped it delicately strand by strand, my satisfaction was even higher. From consultation to cut, shampoo and finishing, the whole visit was satisfying. Parking was easy, the salon was spacious and tidy, and best of all, she recreated the style I wanted exactly.

If you're thinking about a layered cut or want to change your look naturally, I recommend giving it a try. If you want a delicate layered cut in particular, I'd recommend the designer who did mine this time. It was a great salon and I'd go back the next time I need my hair done.
