Euljiro burger spot with a kid before Deoksugung at night: Daily Fix

In short

Daily Fix Euljiro is an American-style handmade burger restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul, about a 2-minute walk from Euljiro 1-ga Station Exit 1-1. Before a night visit to Deoksugung Palace, the writer and their child ate the Classic Burger, Bacon Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, fries and cola there; the chewy, soft bun and the thick, less-salty fries stood out. On a first visit to Daily Fix, order the Classic Burger, which both the writer and the child ranked number one.

Before our night visit to Deoksugung, we stopped for dinner at Daily Fix, a popular spot near Euljiro 1-ga Station. It's close to Deoksugung, so it was easy to get to, and it serves American-style burgers. Having tried it, I was happier than I expected, from the bun and patty to the fries.

What's the atmosphere at Daily Fix like?

Daily Fix interior with an American burger restaurant feel

The interior is hip, like a casual American burger restaurant. Walking in, you can feel that classic American burger joint vibe. It's quite stylish, but it doesn't feel chaotic or over-decorated. The lighting and props are used well to build the mood. Kind of like a casual burger restaurant in the US, you know?

There was a foreign guest eating alone, and some foreign friends enjoying burgers together. It doesn't feel awkward to eat solo, and it looked fine for visiting with friends or a date too.

Can you drink draft beer at Daily Fix?

They sell draft beer too. Seeing other tables pairing draft beer with burgers, I could tell it'd be a great combo. We wanted a glass, but with the Deoksugung night visit still ahead, we sadly skipped it this time, haha.

Next time, I'd like to take it easy and enjoy draft beer with a burger.

What did we order at Daily Fix, and how much was it?

Table spread of three Daily Fix burgers and fries
Burgers and cola ordered at Daily Fix

We ordered three burgers (Bacon Cheeseburger, Classic Burger, Cheeseburger), fries, and one cola. Apparently the cola has free refills 🙂

  • Bacon Cheeseburger ₩12,900
  • Classic Burger ₩11,900
  • Cheeseburger ₩8,900
  • Fries ₩6,900
  • Cola ₩2,900

What impressed me most overall was the bun. It was chewy yet really soft. The fillings matter, but a burger is only as good as its bun, right? Daily Fix's bun was good enough that I felt I could eat it on its own.

Best burger at Daily Fix? The Classic

Daily Fix Classic Burger with tomato and vegetables

Out of the three, my favorite was the Daily Fix Classic Burger (₩11,900). It's a basic-style burger with tomato and vegetables, and as always, the menu items that stick to the basics are the tastiest. Fresh vegetables and tomato made it taste bright, and the sauce went really well with it. The patty isn't overly thick either, so it came together nicely with the other ingredients.

The veggies were fresh too! Above all, I loved the combination with the soft, chewy bun. I recently visited several burger places on a trip to the US, and thinking back on those burgers, Daily Fix holds up pretty well.

My child ate it too, and said the Classic was the tastiest as well. If it's your first visit and you can't decide what to order, I'd recommend the Classic.😊😍

How is the Bacon Cheeseburger, known as the Kang Min-kyung burger?

Daily Fix Bacon Cheeseburger, known as the Kang Min-kyung burger

The Daily Fix Bacon Cheeseburger (₩12,900) is known as a burger recommended by Kang Min-kyung, so I was curious. The bacon, patty and cheese worked well together. If the Classic was fresh thanks to the tomato and vegetables, the Bacon Cheeseburger tasted a little richer and nuttier. The bacon's flavor plus the cheese made it a great pick for meat lovers.

Both were good, but personally the Classic with vegetables suited my taste a bit more. If you love the flavor of bacon and cheese, though, I think you'd be happy with the Bacon Cheeseburger.

Are the Daily Fix fries worth ordering?

Thick-cut Daily Fix fries

The Daily Fix fries (₩6,900) were as good as the burgers. They're thick-cut rather than the usual thin fries. One bite and the inside was fluffy, so you really taste the potato's own texture.

Fluffy-inside Daily Fix fries

Best of all, they weren't very salty. When fries are too heavily seasoned, you can get sick of them after just a few, but these weren't strongly salty, so they were easy to keep eating. The potato itself tasted good too. The burgers were great, but I'd definitely recommend ordering the fries with them.

Daily Fix dinner before Deoksugung at night: final verdict

Eating handmade burgers at Daily Fix

Daily Fix, where we stopped before our night visit to Deoksugung, was a burger place that exceeded my expectations. The chewy, soft bun especially stood out, and the patty and sauce worked well together. Of the three burgers, the Classic with tomato and vegetables was the tastiest, and the Bacon Cheeseburger had an appealingly rich, nutty flavor. The thick, fluffy fries are another item I'd recommend.

The atmosphere is hip yet comfortable, so it looked fine for eating alone or visiting with friends. If you're looking for American-style handmade burgers near Euljiro 1-ga Station, or a place to eat around Deoksugung or City Hall, it's worth a visit.
