Apgujeong Italian restaurant for an indoor date: Osteria Eden

I visited Osteria Eden, a brunch favorite in Apgujeong. It's a great indoor date course in Seoul, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for an atmospheric date spot in Apgujeong. I was happy with both the food and the mood. Here's my review of a relaxed meal, from pasta to steak. Let's get started!

Where is Osteria Eden, and is there parking?

Osteria Eden is easy to reach, about a 9-minute walk from Apgujeongnodeo Station, and it's in the same building as Schedule Cheongdam. Valet parking is available, so it's convenient if you're driving to your date.

You can feel Osteria Eden's upscale atmosphere from the exterior, and it suits an indoor date course in Seoul well. It's also nice for shopping after the meal or a walk in Dosan Park.

Does the inside of Osteria Eden suit a date?

Step inside Osteria Eden and a modern, trendy space opens up in front of you. It feels different from the usual brunch café, so I'd recommend it if you want an offbeat date restaurant.

The interior is spacious overall and the tables are nicely spaced out, so it works for an Apgujeong date, a blind date, or a get-together to hand out wedding invitations.

The wide terrace windows at the front give you a city view, and the plants placed around the room add a real early-summer, turning-green feel.

Osteria Eden's signature dishes and what we ordered

Osteria Eden uses high-quality ingredients such as hanwoo (Korean beef), sweet shrimp, uni (sea urchin), sea bass, truffle and black tiger shrimp for signature dishes ranging from brunch to steak and pasta. We ordered the flounder ceviche, burrata pomodoro spaghettini and honey cod steak.

Bread and olive oil

Before the mains, we got bread and olive oil. The olive oil with a little salt had a subtle savory depth, and it was a nice appetizer to get the appetite going.

Flounder ceviche, a fresh pick for summer

Osteria Eden's flounder ceviche is flounder sashimi served with grapefruit, orange, sumiso and romesco sauce. I was already happy with the colorful look and plating. It's a refreshing, light dish that I'd recommend for a summer day like these.

Eating the fresh flounder sashimi with sweet orange and grapefruit let the flavors of the ingredients blend together nicely. It was an easy dish I kept reaching for.

Burrata pomodoro spaghettini, chewy noodles and rich tomato

The burrata pomodoro spaghettini is a rich tomato pasta topped with burrata cheese. The noodles were cooked to a properly chewy texture, which was totally my style. The combination of the deep tomato sauce and soft burrata really stood out.

The tangy, savory tomato sauce and creamy burrata went together beautifully, and it also paired well with the honey cod steak.

Honey cod steak, my first time trying it and better than expected

The honey cod steak is a tender cod steak served with native Korean honey, cherry tomato sauce and garlic sauce. It was my first time trying it, and it was better than I expected. The cod was chewy yet soft with a clean, mild flavor, and the caramelized surface added a sweet savoriness.

The moist cod flesh and the gentle sweetness of the native honey came together, and it stayed nutty and clean-tasting the more I chewed.

Is Osteria Eden worth recommending for an Apgujeong date?

At Osteria Eden, we spent a satisfying time enjoying pasta and steak in a stylish interior and relaxed atmosphere. It suits an Apgujeong brunch date, a blind date, an anniversary, or anyone looking for an indoor date course in Seoul. If you want good food and atmosphere together, I'd recommend visiting at least once.
