Sinnonhyeon wine bar, round table and Cabernet bottle: Mixed Table

In short

Mixed Table is a basement lounge and wine bar near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul. On a third visit, as the second stop of a wine date, the writer sat at a round table in a separate area of Mixed Table with a bottle of Belaretta Cabernet Sauvignon and kaymak with melon. Mixed Table is a reasonable place to enjoy wine by the bottle, and the black-and-white films playing in the background make it a date spot worth recommending.

A Sinnonhyeon wine date: my third visit to Mixed Table

Mixed Table is my favorite wine bar in Sinnonhyeon, where I go for a second round after drinks in Nonhyeon. It's already my third review of this place, so you can tell how much I love it. This time I went on a wine date at this much-loved Sinnonhyeon bar!

It's always friendly, with a lovely lounge bar feel, and it's also a kaymak hotspot, so this time I tried kaymak with melon for the first time.

When I visited in August 2025, I was drinking solo, but I still happily polished off the kaymak along with ekmek (Turkish bread), haha. Since it was just me, I leisurely enjoyed a bottle of relatively light sparkling wine.

I also went on a Sinnonhyeon wine date in May 2026. That time we drank Belaretta Chardonnay white wine, and this time it's the red version! I came back having drunk Belaretta Cabernet Sauvignon.

Basement entrance area of Mixed Table in Sinnonhyeon

Mixed Table is closed on Sundays, but every other day this Sinnonhyeon bar is open from 6 p.m. It's in a basement and the signage isn't eye-catching, but once you go downstairs, a whole new world opens up..

A great spot for a date: the separate round table

At Mixed Table I've always sat at a table in the inner area, but this time it was a round table in a separate space, so I got a different vibe. There was even a dried flower bouquet in the middle of the table, as if it had been prepared just for me, which touched me even more!

Mixed Table menu: why the wine bottles are so appealing

The Mixed Table menu has a wide range of cocktails and whiskies, but what makes this Sinnonhyeon bar even better is that you can enjoy wine bottles at reasonable prices. Every time I come I think about trying a cocktail, and every time I give in to the temptation of a wine bottle.. such a wine lover.

I'm not drinking alone this time, and I have someone to drink with, so let's go on a Sinnonhyeon wine date!

How was the Belaretta Cabernet Sauvignon?

Bottle of Belaretta Cabernet Sauvignon red wine

Belaretta Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from the Abruzzo region of Italy. It has the deep color and tannins typical of Cabernet Sauvignon, with a slightly heavy body. Red berry and violet floral aromas blend sweetly, and the spicy flavor was appealing. The alcohol smell didn't stick out, and the fruit aromas and overall balance were great!

It had been a while since I'd had a dry, not-sweet red wine, and drinking it as a second round in a cool, comfortable wine bar with a great atmosphere, I wasn't hot at all and enjoyed it so happily.

Table set with red wine and kaymak

With the snack, the look of the table got even better. I wasn't very hungry, but who can resist kaymak! Mixed Table is also where I tasted kaymak for the very first time, and their kaymak is just insanely delicious. I was curious how it would go with melon, so I ordered it, and I was so glad I did!

A black-and-white film was playing on the screen at the back, making this Sinnonhyeon wine date even moodier and more romantic. If you're looking for a Sinnonhyeon bar with a good date atmosphere, Mixed Table is the first place that comes to mind, my absolute favorite spot..

Kaymak with melon: does it work as a wine snack?

Kaymak with melon at Mixed Table

Kaymak with melon at Mixed Table, after a long while! Kaymak is a traditional Turkish dairy product, a fresh cheese made by simmering milk for a long time until it sets like cream. It feels like something between cream cheese and Greek yogurt! It's topped with honey and cheese too, so it's even sweeter and nuttier.

Piled generously onto the melon, it tastes completely blissful! Soft melon plus thick, rich kaymak made it taste like ice cream, or like cake!

Eating kaymak piled on melon

It was a flavorful dessert that makes you understand why people call it heavenly. It was just right as a light wine snack :)
