Out of all the menu options, the one I was most excited about was my personal favorite — the gamjatang pho and shrimp fried rice set! 🍜 The shrimp fried rice that came with the set had that light, unassertive quality that's characteristic of authentic Thai food — not salty at all, just subtly savory 💞

Inside the gamjatang pho were big, hearty chunks of pork-bone meat, so it was genuinely fun to pick the meat off the bone.

One sip of the broth brought out a strong, refreshing bean sprout aroma — the broth was refreshing yet spicy, the kind that really clears your head.

Thanon55 is especially good for solo diners or pairs who want to sample several signature dishes in smaller portions, thanks to its well-designed, good-value set menus. The gamjatang pho and shrimp fried rice set I chose let me have two dishes in one go — a real two-birds-one-stone deal, and I loved it!

It's the kind of comforting, mild fried rice that any Korean would like right away, no exceptions, and it paired wonderfully with the spicy pho broth. This really showed the depth of experience you'd expect from a top Seongsu pho spot.
