Oil pasta to go with beer in Magongnaru: shrimp aglio e olio, Pasta Go
In short
Pasta Go Magok Branch is a budget pasta restaurant on the 2nd floor of Prugio City, right outside Exit 1 of Magongnaru Station in Gangseo, Seoul. The writer ordered at the kiosk and took home a shrimp-topped aglio e olio single set and a bacon-topped garlic butter cream risotto in a 1.5 portion, both at spice level 2, to eat with beer, and the risotto tasted far spicier than the pasta at the same level. Pasta Go's aglio e olio is a must-order that the writer calls the number one oil pasta.

What is Pasta Go Magok Branch like?

Pasta Go Magok Branch is a budget-friendly pasta place near Magongnaru Station, and close to Seoul Botanic Park too. Pasta Go is known for good pasta at good prices. I think there are three branches, Magok, Yeongdeungpo and Hongdae, and this time I went to the Magok one, the Seoul Botanic Park go-to.
Where is Pasta Go Magok Branch, and what about parking?
Pasta Go Magok Branch is on the 2nd floor of Prugio City, right in front of Exit 1 of Magongnaru Station, and parking is free for 3 hours. It is connected to Magongnaru Station, so it's easy to reach by public transport, and you can visit without worrying about parking 🙂

Inside Pasta Go Magok Branch: atmosphere and seating
The interior is clean and woody :) It feels fresh and modern, so it's a good date spot after a trip to Seoul Botanic Park, and quite a few people were eating solo too.

There are plenty of tables, so even at peak times like evenings and weekends you can eat without a wait, which I loved haha. The self bar has cutlery, wet wipes and pickle refills, just so you know. This day I decided to get takeout, so I placed my order at the kiosk.

Pasta Go menu and spice and topping customizing
The menu is varied, from cream, tomato and oil pasta to risotto, pizza and fries, and there are set menu discounts too 👍 The best part is that you can customize the spice level and toppings however you like.

I'm the type who relieves stress by eating spicy food, so I always order my dishes fiery. At Pasta Go I can set the spice level and the portion size myself, so I could choose exactly to my taste, and I was happy about that ✨ On top of that, the noodles don't get soggy over time, so even takeout or delivery tastes just like eating in the restaurant.

Pasta Go takeout: aglio e olio single set and garlic butter cream risotto
What I took away from Pasta Go Magok Branch was the aglio e olio pasta and the garlic butter cream risotto. Here's my Pasta Go takeout review for this Magok pasta spot :)

- Aglio e olio: single set, spice level 2, shrimp topping, sparkling water and fries included
- Garlic butter cream risotto: spice level 2, bacon topping, portion increased to 1.5 portions
Beer is a must with this combo..! In this heat I just can't resist a beer T-T.. The salty fries are a side but they really stand out, so definitely get the single set..!!

How does Pasta Go's garlic butter cream risotto taste?
The garlic butter cream risotto has chewy risotto with the bite of bacon, so it's nutty and rich. It's rich without being heavy, which is why it's one of Pasta Go's regulars 🥹 Adding 0.5 portion costs only ₩4,000 more, so I recommend going big haha.

Same spice level 2, but the risotto is spicier?
The risotto was waaay spicier than the pasta. I ordered both at level 2, and the pasta had a nice spicy kick that was just right, but the risotto felt a bit hotter at the same level. If you want a pleasantly spicy risotto, level 1 should be enough haha.

How does Pasta Go's shrimp aglio e olio taste?
The aglio e olio comes with big shrimp as the default topping, plus plenty of sliced garlic. The noodles are thick and rich, well soaked in the seasoning ✨

The noodles at Pasta Go in Magongnaru don't get soggy over time, so even takeout or delivery is so good :) The texture is great and the rich noodles make the ultimate combo with beer!

Is Pasta Go Magok Branch worth going back to?
At Pasta Go Magok Branch, the aglio e olio is an absolute must-order. I've eaten at Pasta Go many times, and even after trying places all over, Pasta Go's oil pasta is the best..! I have to admit they're geniuses of oil pasta. Cheap and tasty, there's no reason not to eat at this Magok pasta spot ❣️ If you're looking for pasta near Magok, give Pasta Go a try :)
