Gwangalli cocktail bar for Red Rock and Malibu pineapple: Drunken
In short
Drunken Kitchen (드렁큰키친) is a bar and kitchen on the second floor of a building facing Gwangalli Beach in Suyeong, Busan, looking out over Gwangan Bridge. After an early dinner, the writer stopped at Drunken Kitchen for a second round before sunset, ordering Red Rock draft beer, a Malibu pineapple cocktail and lemon cream shrimp, and even the free green onion kimchi and candied walnuts were satisfying. For an ocean-view bar, Drunken Kitchen's drinks and food are reasonably priced, making it worth recommending if you want a bar with a Gwangan Bridge view.

Where is Drunken Kitchen, and where do you park?

This Gwangalli ocean-view bar sits in the alley between Homers Hotel and Hotel Aqua Palace.

It's a 10-second walk from Gwangalli Beach, so it's super easy to get to. You can also park in the building's basement, but it costs ₩2,500 per 60 minutes, so keep that in mind!

The entrance is right next to the claw machine shop on the 1st floor, and Drunken Kitchen, a Gwangalli favorite for bar food, is on the 2nd floor of the building.

Drunken Kitchen interior and Gwangan Bridge view
Upstairs, Drunken Bar, with a professional bartender, sits right next to Drunken Kitchen, and you walk through Drunken Bar to get to the kitchen side.

Drunken Bar has relaxed sofa seats and a long bar counter. The space feels open and the mood is laid-back, so I caught myself thinking I'd like to come for a drink here next time.

Go through the door and you reach Drunken Kitchen, the Gwangalli cooking pub. This is the Gwangalli teppanyaki (iron-plate cooking) and cocktail spot.

Inside, Drunken Kitchen is spacious with roomy tables, and the metal-heavy industrial design felt stylish and hip. Since it's on the 2nd floor, you get a full view of Gwangalli's sea and Gwangan Bridge, and it feels so close up front that it looks even more vivid.
Drunken Kitchen menu and unlimited Stella draft price

The sky was so gorgeous that I sat at a window seat like I was in a trance. Just watching the scenery and the people outside, I lost track of time.

You check the menu and order on a tablet.

The menu ranges from Korean to Western dishes, and with "Kitchen" in the name, they say they only serve food they're not embarrassed by. You can tell they're serious about cooking. They use seasonal ingredients, so the menu changes often! Since it's a cocktail bar, the drinks range from cocktails to draft beer and whiskey, and the cocktail prices are cheap for a Gwangan Bridge view bar.

What stood out most was the Stella draft beer. During brunch time, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can get unlimited Stella draft for ₩13,900 and 20% off the entire menu. From 5 p.m. to closing is dinner time, and unlimited Stella draft is ₩17,900. Even just two glasses and it's already such a good deal...!
- Brunch time (12 p.m. to 5 p.m.): unlimited Stella draft ₩13,900 + 20% off the whole menu
- Dinner time (5 p.m. to closing): unlimited Stella draft ₩17,900
They also run a Naver receipt review event, and apparently if you win a bet with the staff you can get a prize. Maybe because it was a weekday, there was no betting, and we got to enjoy a quiet, resort-like atmosphere at our leisure.
Second-round order: Red Rock draft, Malibu pineapple, lemon cream shrimp
We had an early dinner and then came to Drunken Kitchen for a second round, ordering lemon cream shrimp, Red Rock draft beer and a Malibu pineapple.

Free side dishes: green onion kimchi and candied walnuts
The free side dishes at Drunken Kitchen are an unusual combo of pa-kimchi (green onion kimchi) and hodu gangjeong (candied walnuts). The green onion kimchi was super nutty and the walnuts were great quality too, so I kept picking at them. The candied walnuts are on the menu as well.
Red Rock draft beer

I drank so much Red Rock in college, and not many places sell it, so I happily ordered it. The sun hadn't set yet, so it gave me that sleepy daytime-drinking feeling. It seems like such a good beer for summer nights!
Malibu pineapple cocktail

There were so many cocktails that I agonized before ordering, and the Malibu pineapple was full of vacation vibes! It wasn't just sweet either, and the balance was good.
Lemon cream shrimp
This is a dish I was really looking forward to, since I heard the chefs graduated from culinary school. They say the lemon cream shrimp is made with freshly squeezed lemon, and maybe that's why the freshness really came through. Above all, the shrimp were really big and plump!
The sauce was tangy and tasty, and with lettuce laid underneath it never felt greasy. It went really well with both the draft beer and the cocktail.
Is Drunken Kitchen worth recommending as a Gwangan Bridge view bar?
Both drinks and food at Drunken Kitchen are cheap for a Gwangalli ocean-view bar, so we enjoyed the food, the drinks and the view without any pressure on the wallet. If you're looking for a great bar with a Gwangan Bridge view, I recommend it ♡
