If you want a lovely meal out for a special day or with the family, Anmin Yangsan (안민 양산), a Korean BBQ restaurant in Yangsan, is a perfect pick.
Where is Anmin Yangsan, and what are the hours and parking?
Anmin Yangsan is in the Beomeo new town area of Yangsan, across from Songwon Kindergarten, so it's easy to find. It's open 16:30–23:00 on weekdays and 12:00–23:00 on weekends, and closed on the 5th Monday of each month.
There's a children's playground right in front, which makes it handy if you're bringing kids. You can park around the restaurant, and the Hwangsan Village public parking lot is available for 1 hour.

What's the atmosphere inside Anmin Yangsan?
From the moment you walk in, the upscale interior and the modern, clean look catch your eye. It felt like stepping into a fine-dining restaurant. The layout is roomy and private, so it's a great fit for taking your parents or for a family meal.

Table ordering and a tidy set of side dishes
You order easily through the table order system. The table setting was impressive too: pickles (jangajji), white kimchi, scallion salad and a range of house sauces came neatly arranged in pretty earthenware bowls, and it really felt like being treated as a guest.

Vita Lemon C and a spotless restroom
At the counter there was Vita Lemon C to freshen your mouth after the meal. The restroom was so clean too, thoughtfully stocked with mouthwash and even disposable toothbrushes.

What we ordered for weekend lunch, and the prices
For weekend lunch at Anmin Yangsan we ordered the half-pig set (₩39,500), crab doenjang (soybean paste) stew (₩6,000) and steamed egg (₩3,000).

Do the staff grill the meat at Anmin Yangsan?
Yes, one of the big strengths here is that experienced staff grill all the meat for you. How it's grilled makes a huge difference in taste, and the skilled staff handle the grilling service, carefully managing everything from the grill temperature to the timing of each flip. They sear the surface quickly over strong heat, as if coating it, locking in the rich juices and tender texture, so you get consistently good meat whenever you visit.
There's also no interruption to the conversation from worrying about burning anything. I liked that you can chat comfortably with family, a partner or friends and focus fully on the meal.

Kept warm to the end on a mini brazier grate
Once the meat is grilled golden to just the right doneness, the staff gently move it piece by piece onto a grate over a cute little mini brazier on your table. Thanks to the soft flame under the brazier, the meat doesn't dry out or cool until the meal is over, and it keeps the moistness and warmth it had when first grilled. No stiff, cold meat or hardened fat midway through; you can enjoy the same savory flavor right up to the last bite.

Which sauces go best with the whole-pig pork?
Anmin Yangsan offers a wide range of sauces. I recommend salt for the first bite. After that, try the shiitake wasabi sauce, cheese fondue and galchi-sokjeot (salted fermented cutlassfish guts) for an even richer taste. For the fish soy sauce, dip in plenty of the vegetables grilled alongside the meat.

How are the crab doenjang stew and steamed egg?
The crab doenjang stew (₩6,000) at Anmin Yangsan is no exaggeration a signature dish. It comes with a big crab plus plenty of bean sprouts and sujebi (hand-pulled dough flakes), and the broth is refreshing and deep. It can be made less spicy on request, so it's easy to enjoy with kids or older family members who can't handle spicy food.
The steamed egg (₩3,000) we ordered with it had a soft, pudding-like texture and was seasoned just right, with a wonderfully savory taste.
Verdict: is Anmin Yangsan good for a family meal?
From the upscale atmosphere to the tidy, treated-like-a-guest table setting, the grilling service and the meal-ending dishes, nothing is missing at this Yangsan Korean BBQ restaurant. If you're looking for a refined place for a family meal or a gathering, I think it's well worth a visit.
