Anmin Yangsan, the Mulgeum grill house where skipping a reservation means waiting
Anmin Yangsan is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Hwahap-gil in Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan — it's such a hot spot lately that if you don't book ahead, you're basically guaranteed a wait. I rushed here to write this review right after Chuseok break ended. I'd just discovered an amazing meat restaurant in Yangsan!

The entrance is grand from the start. Pig illustrations up top... am I the only one who finds them cute, haha. The owner runs the place with real pride in the meat, with his own name and photo displayed.
Does Anmin Yangsan have a wait even on weekday evenings?
Yes — Anmin Yangsan gets a wait even on weekday evenings, so it's best to call ahead. We showed up without a reservation and got turned away once because it was full. We circled the block for thirty minutes before coming back — not gonna hide that one. This was a weekday evening visit and there was still a wait, with this many customers... book ahead, seriously!
The place overall is clean, and the partitions between tables make it feel private. The chairs are nice and cushioned too.
How to order and what's on the menu at Anmin Yangsan
You order at Anmin Yangsan using the tablet pad set up at each table. First order: half pig set, 1 Mosco Mule!

There's also a printed menu book. Origin labeling was clearly marked, and there's a free birthday cocktail service too. Reservations can be made by calling the store.

Besides meat, they also sell ramen as a meal option, and there are cocktails and highballs too. If you think Anmin Yangsan is only good for meat since it's a BBQ place, big mistake!!! Everything here is genuinely delicious, I was shocked. There's a reason it's this busy.
I was customer number 3798. This place only opened two months ago in July, and I'm the 3798th customer — is that real?? They're about to hit 4000 soon.

Anmin Yangsan's side dishes and house sauces
The basic side dishes (banchan) at Anmin Yangsan come out as a full spread — clean, tidy, and just so well put together.

The side dishes are all ones that pair well with meat! The sauces especially were super varied — house sauces you can only taste at Anmin Yangsan.

This shredded green onion (pachae) is unbelievably good. Totally different from typical BBQ restaurant pachae. You can tell just by looking, right? The taste is on a different level too.

The water isn't just plain bottled water either. Tastes like something's been steeped in it — very high-end flavor. My cola-loving fiancé didn't even order a cola at a BBQ place — he drank this water with his meat instead.

Glasses, small plates, tissues, wet wipes, a bottle opener — all set up on the table as standard. There's also an explanation of Anmin's special sauces I mentioned earlier — sauces I genuinely haven't tasted anywhere else. By the way, if you want an apron, just ask a staff member.
A cocktail at a BBQ restaurant? Anmin Yangsan's Mosco Mule
At Anmin Yangsan you can order a cocktail alongside your meat, and this time I tried the Mosco Mule. Has anyone else seen cocktails sold at a BBQ restaurant? First time for me — people kept saying it was so good that I had to try it. Yes — this is a must-order. Genuinely so delicious.
A cocktail of this quality at a BBQ place... the alcohol taste was just right and sweet — pairs really well with the meat, so I highly recommend ordering one!
Anmin Yangsan's half pig set, grilled tableside by staff
Anmin Yangsan's half pig set is made up of pork belly (samgyeopsal), pork neck (mokssal), and pork skin seasoned with various herbal medicine ingredients, and a staff member grills it right at your table. The meat is finally here! Such a lovely pale pink color.
Anmin Yangsan provides a grilling service where staff cook it right at your table, so you can eat comfortably. Since they grill it at exactly the right timing, you don't have to worry about the meat at all and can just chat with your company while eating. Leave the grilling to the professionals — watch the video of their skills, seriously next-level.

The whole pig cooking up golden brown and delicious ><

Watching the grilling process was fun too. Is it unusual? The sizzling sound and meat aroma the whole time were incredible. I'd just walked around for 30 minutes while waiting, so I was already hungry — watching it grill nearly made me drool.

For reference, the half pig set is made up of pork belly, pork neck, and herb-marinated pork skin, so you get to try multiple cuts at once!

Chunky pork getting sliced up. They say medium-well doneness brings out the pork's natural savoriness and juicy, tender texture best.

Sauce recommendations by cut, and meat that stays warm
At Anmin Yangsan, once the meat is fully cooked, a staff member plates a piece on your small plate and recommends the right sauce for that cut. The first bite goes straight into the salt.
And they set it up like this so the meat stays warm the whole time instead of cooling down. (There's a candle under the tray keeping it warm throughout the meal.)

Vegetables grilled too — now the real eating begins.

Dipping it exactly as the staff recommended, you get to enjoy a whole range of flavors!!!

The grilled vegetables also went straight into the recommended sauce. My fiancé wrapping up a lettuce wrap for me again today.

The meal menu: clay-pot soft tofu stew
We also ordered the clay-pot soft tofu stew (sundubu-jjigae) as our meal at Anmin Yangsan, and this was genuinely amazing too — packed with soft tofu, and the broth was incredibly flavorful. The kind of taste that makes you finish a whole bowl of rice without noticing.
Anmin Yangsan's thoughtful restroom and checkout counter
Anmin Yangsan has its own restroom inside the restaurant, and it's super private, stocked with everything — toothbrush and toothpaste, floss, panty liners, you name it... such a thoughtful touch. The restroom also smelled amazing.

If I have one regret, it's that I got tipsy on the cocktail and didn't get to try the beer... I'll definitely have to try the beer next time.

Even the checkout counter had hair ties, toothpicks, vitamin candies — so thoughtful, I was touched right to the end.
Anmin Yangsan, overall verdict
What I loved about Anmin Yangsan is that it's not just a place to eat meat — you get the grilling service plus meal options and a cocktail menu all together. The tableside grilling service in particular was genuinely convenient, and being able to pair the meat with a meal item like soft tofu stew or a cocktail felt like a fresh twist. If you're looking for a grilled-for-you meat spot in Yangsan, Anmin is definitely worth a visit. Next time I want to try the beer and the ramen too :)
