Looking for a business meeting café near Wangsimni Station?
Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch (어질 인 왕십리역점) is a café and bakery right in front of Wangsimni Station Exit 6, and this time I came for an important business meeting. So this visit was less about everyday relaxing and more about a meeting, you know?
A place with a comfortable mood and easy access
I went looking for a café like that, and that's how I found Eojil In, which I'm introducing today.

When choosing a meeting spot, the things that matter most are probably "is it easy to talk?" and "is it easy to find?" To say the conclusion first, it felt like I'd found a golden Wangsimni café that solves both worries at once.

Getting to Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch: 1 minute from Exit 6
Eojil In is less than a minute on foot from Wangsimni Station Exit 6. I came by subway, and since Wangsimni Station is where the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Line 2 and others meet, access felt great.
When a meeting place is hard to find, you're worn out before you even start. Being right by the exit, it seems no trouble even for someone coming for the first time. Honestly, when I look for a place for a meeting that needs conversation, or for working, the first things I check are the size and the interior.

Two floors, warm lighting and a calm atmosphere for talking
Eojil In has space on the 2nd floor as well as the 1st, so overall the layout was quite wide and open. My first impression when I opened the door, in one phrase, was "so warm."

The mood inside is soft and cozy, a fitting spot for a sincere conversation over a meal, or rather, over tea time. The interior is stylish without being busy, so it's also a lighting-lover's, very Instagrammable kind of place.

The light is calm yet looks like it would photograph really well. Looking around, many couples and friends seemed to come for a cozy chat. Of course, some people were also quietly working on their computers alone.

Does Eojil In roast its own coffee beans?
Eojil In reportedly keeps a separate roasting space nearby and roasts its beans itself. Oh, and this part was quite impressive too. It's not just a place with a nice mood: they say the roasting is based on more than 20 years of experience in the coffee industry. You can really see their own distinct approach and grit as a coffee specialist.

How the iced café latte and iced einspänner taste
At Eojil In that day I ordered an iced café latte and an iced einspänner, plus a classic financier and a vanilla madeleine for dessert. Choosing the menu is always the most exciting and agonizing moment wherever I go. I went with a cool, nutty iced café latte, an iced einspänner with its sweet-bitter look, and the financier and madeleine to go with them.

Taking a sip of the neatly served coffee, the balance was really good, as you'd expect from a place that handles its own beans. The latte was lovely, with the milk's nuttiness and the espresso's weight blending smoothly instead of fighting each other. In the einspänner, the coffee aroma coming in behind the chewy cream seemed to fit perfectly.

Classic financier and vanilla madeleine baked by a pâtissier
The other star of Eojil In is probably the baked goods, which are said to be baked in the shop by a professional pâtissier. I personally like baked sweets quite a lot, and the classic financier was slightly chewy outside and moist inside, a really great match with coffee.

The mild, sweet flavor of the vanilla madeleine was also gone before I knew it, and I thought, "wait, already finished?" Overall the freshness of the ingredients came through, so nothing was too sweet or cloying, and I could enjoy dessert time cleanly to the last bite.

Thanks to that, I think I could wrap up a business meeting that might have been stiff in a much softer, more comfortable mood, and finish it successfully.

Is there parking at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch?
Eojil In has a small amount of parking at the building, and if there's no space, you can use options such as a nearby supermarket car park. Worth a look if you're coming by car.

Why Eojil In works as a Wangsimni Station meeting spot
So that was a light share of my visit to Eojil In, an appealing space I found near Wangsimni Station.

When you want the calm of a good cup of coffee and a proper place to talk, or suddenly crave freshly baked pastries, I think Eojil In would be a hard choice to be disappointed by.
