Exit Escape Room Cafe (액시트 방탈출카페) is at 22 Haengbok-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi, on the 4th floor of the Seolbing building on Uijeongbu Rodeo Street. Come out of Exit 5-3 of the underground arcade and it's a 3-minute walk toward Rodeo Street! The access is really good.

It's a car-free street, so you can't park at the building. If you're driving, use the Uijeongbu 1-dong public parking lot or the Shinsegae Department Store car park 🚗

Exit Escape Room Cafe has 4 themes in total. When you walk in, posters that stir up your curiosity greet you. There's the spine-chilling horror theme Haunted House, a chilly Cold Storage, the mysterious Closed Ward, and Prison, the classic escape-room setting, so there's plenty to pick from by taste 👻

Exit Escape Room Cafe currently has a very generous 2026 discount event running! There's an early-bird discount for those who come early, plus student, cash, repeat-visit and partnership discounts. The perks are really varied, so be sure to use them and enjoy it on a budget 💰

Here's the basic price guide. It runs from ₩44,000 for 2 players to ₩102,000 for 6, and the more people you bring, the cheaper it gets per person. There's also a thoughtful weekday student rate, so students can play at a very reasonable price too 🏫

Prison theme for beginners, and booking is a must

Before you visit, you can check available times in real time on the official website. It's popular, so booking is a must! Out of all the themes, we chose Prison, the lowest difficulty, so that even escape room beginners could have fun, and we confidently threw down the challenge 🔗

Before entering, everyone in the group has to sign a pledge agreeing to keep the secrets and play safely. Reading the staff's rules carefully, like no spoilers so others can enjoy it too, is basic manners before going in, right? 📝

The walls of the waiting area were packed with sticky notes from the many people who have been through this Uijeongbu escape room, with not a gap left. Reading them one by one is fun, and seeing how many people raved about it raised our expectations even higher ✨

How the locks work, and the immersion

The Prison room has a surprisingly wide variety of locks. Before the game starts, the staff kindly explain how to open each one. So you don't waste time panicking mid-game, make sure you've got them down beforehand! 🔐

The reason I wholeheartedly recommend this as a great thing to do is the solid story and the huge immersion. There are no far-fetched puzzles and it all makes sense, so it gives you the thrill and fun of really being locked in that situation. A true Uijeongbu escape room landmark 👍

Once the game starts it's hard to use the restroom, so go before you enter. To prevent spoilers and keep things secure, we put our smartphones and other electronics in the lockers and finished getting ready to escape 🎒

Final time 64 min 32 sec, and decorating the board

Our final time was 64 minutes 32 seconds. We just barely went over the time limit, so it wasn't a perfect escape, but we had such a good time solving it that we lost track of time. After the game, they gave us board markers to decorate the board however we liked, and we filled it with our own memories and made it pretty 🎨

Photo zone and photo printing

Holding the board we'd worked so hard on, we headed to the photo zone at Exit Escape Room Cafe. The lighting is bright, so photos come out great. It was a good Uijeongbu escape room photo spot 📸

After we took photos in the photo zone, a staff member printed them on the store's photo printer. Instead of keeping them only on your phone, getting a physical photo makes the memory last longer and feels so nice 🖼️
