Large beach towel as a personal blanket: Lifeclue Beach Towel

I chose the Lifeclue Beach Towel as a vacation essential. My vacation is still in the planning stages, so I first used it in everyday life as a personal blanket and sofa cover.

Is it easy to carry and store?

The towel arrived in a thick, durable sliding zip bag made just for it. It was a handy setup for storing it after use and washing, or packing it into a suitcase for travel.

The cheerful design caught my eye at first. I was organizing our newlywed home, so I also liked that it could work as a decorative accent indoors.

What should you watch out for when washing it?

The care label says to wash it separately in 30°C water when using a washing machine. It recommends avoiding heat drying and laying it flat to air-dry in the shade. It also says not to use bleach, fabric softener, or chlorine bleach, as they can damage the product.

How were the size, finishing, and feel against the skin?

At 100 cm wide and 180 cm long, it is generously sized. A beach towel I used before had loose finishing that unraveled and shed threads, so I checked the edges especially carefully this time. The Lifeclue Beach Towel had neatly finished edges.

Because it is made of microfiber, it felt soft in my hands. I also liked how it felt against my skin.

I was also looking forward to its absorbency, quick drying, and dense weave that should make sand easy to shake off. But since my vacation has not happened yet, I have not used it at the beach or pool.

How was it as a personal blanket in summer?

Even when it is hot outside in summer, indoors feels cold to me. So I tend to bring along an outer layer or a small blanket when I go out. When I head out of town with a friend, I also pack a blanket that I can leave in the car and take out with me.

This towel was generous in both directions, so I could fold it as needed. It worked well as a personal blanket that I could adjust to the space and purpose.

Even when a café or facility had shared blankets, there were times when I hesitated to use them. After encountering a blanket that smelled, I started carrying my own personal blanket.

Can it also be used as a sofa cover at home?

At home, I use an extra folding mattress folded up like a sofa. When I put the towel over it like a cover, the size was more or less right. It brightened the space too, and my husband said it felt like we had come to a resort.

The towel has an attached band. When I was not using it, I could roll it up and secure it with the band for compact storage.

I was happy that I could use it as a blanket and cover in everyday life instead of leaving it in a drawer until vacation season. I am planning to take it on my upcoming trip too, as a swimming towel or a blanket to cover myself with when sleeping outdoors.
