The hottest BBQ spot in Seomyeon right now Anmin, where they grill it for you

Hi, this is Sugeuri! 😊 I was looking for somewhere to eat meat in Seomyeon and ended up at Anmin, which I heard is really popular these days.
Where Anmin Busan is and when it opens
Anmin Busan is at 109 Dongcheon-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan, open Monday to Thursday 16:00–24:00 and Friday to Sunday 12:00–24:00. It's an easy walk from Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station.

It's right on the main road, and the red lighting stood out, so it wasn't hard to spot even on my first visit.

How long is the wait on a Friday at 7pm?
I visited Anmin Busan on a Friday at 7pm, and sure enough, there was a wait. Checking Catch Table, there were 13 parties ahead of us! Still, since we were just two people, we got seated at the bar table after about 10 minutes. Glad it went faster than I expected.

There's a separate waiting area too, so it wasn't uncomfortable to wait.
🔥 Inside Anmin Busan: an upscale dining-bar look

Once inside, the wood-toned interior combined with red lighting made the atmosphere better than I expected. The tables are spaced pretty wide apart too, so it feels more comfortable than a typical noisy Korean BBQ joint!

The side dishes were already set on the table when we arrived, so we could sit right down comfortably.

👨🍳 Staff grill every cut for you at Anmin Busan

Better than I expected: the staff grill the meat from start to finish. At most BBQ places you're constantly flipping and watching for burning, but here we just sat and chatted while eating. 😆
They grilled the pork belly, pork neck, and herb-marinated pork rind in that order, and the doneness was just right.
What really impressed me was that after all the meat was grilled, they even lit a small candle so it wouldn't get cold. That's when I really felt this place was a step above a typical BBQ restaurant.
🥓 Pork belly, pork neck and herb-marinated pork rind
One bite of the meat from the Anmin Half Pig Set and the juiciness was clearly there. The pork belly was chewy and savory, while the pork neck was clean-tasting but had a rich meaty flavor that came through more with each chew.

Paired with the pickles, green onion kimchi, and salt on the side, the same meat tasted different each time, so it never got boring. At first I dipped it in pine pollen salt, then switched to the pickles and the house sauce — definitely a way to enjoy a range of flavors. 👍
The herb-marinated pork rind had an appealing chewy texture.

🍲 Order the earthenware pot sundubu-jjigae too

Anmin Busan's pot soondubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) is ₩6,000. We ordered it since just eating meat felt like it might not be quite enough.

There was actually quite a bit of meat inside too, so it was heartier than I expected. Eating the soft, fluffy tofu with the warm broth was a great way to reset our palate between bites of meat.

The verdict on Anmin Busan
There was a wait, but the tableside grilling service and meat quality at this Seomyeon BBQ spot made it worth it!
It's a great spot if you want to chat comfortably with friends while eating, or if you're looking for a place that grills for you. If you're looking for meat in Seomyeon, Anmin is a solid pick — next time I want to try the specialty cuts. 🥩
