Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Seomyeon Branch is a Busan fried chicken spot famous for chicken and dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken stew) in Yeonsan-dong, and I came here after hearing they'd just opened a company-run branch in Seomyeon! It's about a 3-minute walk from Seomyeon Station Exit 4, near Seomyeon Manchwi-gil, so it was really easy to find and access 😆
The retro pub vibe practically radiates off the sign, so it stands out even from a distance 👀
There's a standing sign out front showing the great-value set that lets you enjoy both chicken and dakdoritang, plus various recommended menu items — my eyes couldn't stop moving haha 😆 Let's head in quickly for some cold draft beer and chimaek 🧡
Retro graffiti-covered interior and a table for 8
The inside of Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Seomyeon Branch has a retro, welcoming vibe 🍗 It felt friendly, and seeing all the graffiti on the walls left by so many guests, it really felt like a place holding a lot of people's memories haha
There are tables that seat about 2-4 people, but toward the back there's also a group table that seats about 8! They take reservations for company dinners or group gatherings, so keep that in mind ✔️

Once we sat down, they brought the menu :) From the chicken-and-tang set that's great for a big group, to individual menu items, to gizzard fry, they had a wide variety prepared ⭐️ The signature set especially looked great value, since it comes with both chicken and spicy dakdoritang. Since we came for chimaek today, we ordered the boneless half-and-half fried chicken and a 500cc draft beer 🍺
After ordering, they brought out the basic side dishes that pair perfectly with chicken! Sweet and tangy crunchy chicken pickled radish comes standard, along with crispy shrimp chips 🍤 And a cabbage salad topped with a generous, savory dressing 🥗 Picking at these bite by bite before the chicken arrives really whets the appetite — it's an oddly addictive flavor you keep going back to 😋
The cold 500cc draft beer came out first, and just looking at it felt refreshing all the way to my chest 🤩
All the fatigue from the day just melted away... 🍺 It's a great spot to drop by casually after work or on a weekend for a quiet drink or chimaek, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a Seomyeon pub with great fried chicken!

Finally, today's star arrives — the boneless half-and-half fried chicken 🧡 Half fried, half spicy sauce!! Freshly fried, the savory smell and the visual were just artwork 😋
They say Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Seomyeon Branch uses only 100% domestic Harim chicken thigh meat for the boneless pieces, not the drier breast meat! Maybe that's why — the moment I bit in, juicy meat juices burst out, and the inside was soft and chewy, with a really great texture 🍗
The fried version has a thin, crispy, savory coating that you never get tired of 😋

The spicy sauce hits with a sharp kick of heat the moment you take a bite, but it's deliciously sweet and spicy at the same time, really pulling you in!
