Ansan steak and lamb chops: That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge
In short
That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is an Italian restaurant on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building in Ansan, Gyeonggi. I returned for the tender lamb chop steak and shared seafood oil spaghetti; the garden-facing setting made for an unhurried meal.

I returned to That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge (그남자의이태리식당&라운지) in Jungang-dong, Ansan, because I kept thinking about the lamb chop steak I had before. I ordered the lamb chop steak again and paired it with seafood oil spaghetti. The relaxed atmosphere for a leisurely meal was another reason I came back.

Where is the restaurant, and how does parking work?
The restaurant is on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building, 40 Gojan 1-gil, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi-do. It is also within walking distance of Jungang Station.

Using the public parking lot in front of the building includes one hour of free parking. We drove there on this visit, too.

At first, I found it a little unexpected that the restaurant was on the building's sixth floor. You can take the elevator up.

The entrance was immediately visible when I got off the elevator, so it was not difficult to find.

The posted hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 12:00–22:00. The break is 15:00–17:00, and last orders are at 21:00.
What is the atmosphere like for a date or gathering?
The lounge-like feel started at the entrance, and the atmosphere suited taking time over a meal. I thought it would also suit an anniversary or a blind date, when you want a little more ambience than usual.

The interior was more spacious than I expected. Along with dining hall seating, there were group seats and private rooms, which looked useful for family gatherings or work dinners. High chairs were available, too.
What I personally liked was the garden space visible from inside the restaurant. The greenery made the space feel less enclosed. I thought it would be nice to use the outdoor space in good weather, or eat by the window while looking out at the garden.
What is on the menu, and how much did this order cost?
The menu focused on Italian dishes, including pasta, steak, risotto, salads, and side dishes.

There was also a signature main course. It was described as a course running from appetizer through steak and dessert, but I ordered à la carte this time.

- Lamb chop steak: ₩43,900
- Seafood oil spaghetti: ₩21,900
Bread arrived first. It was warm, and I enjoyed it.

How was the lamb chop steak I ordered again?
Lamb is a dish I choose carefully because of its distinctive smell. I remembered enjoying it here before, so I ordered it again without hesitation.

The lamb had a rich flavor, but I could barely detect the gaminess I had worried about. The meat was tender rather than tough, making it easy to cut with a knife, and it became nuttier as I chewed.

I usually enjoy dipping it in sauce, but this time the meat was good on its own, too.

I was glad I had come back for this dish again. If you usually like lamb chops, it would be a good first order.

How was it with the seafood oil spaghetti?
I ordered the seafood oil spaghetti as a dish to share with the steak.

Because it was an oil-based pasta rather than a heavy cream pasta, it paired well with the lamb chop steak.

The seafood and oil base came together in a clean yet savory dish. It was easy to alternate between the steak and pasta.

Since the lamb chop steak was richly flavored, I was happy I chose the relatively clean oil pasta.

One steak and one pasta made a good combination for two people to share. I would have liked to have wine with it, but it was a shame I could not drink because we had driven.
