Euljiro wine bar with homemade Basque cheesecake: Chin & Nose
In short
Chin & Nose (친앤노즈) is a wine bar in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 3rd floor of a building 1 minute from Euljiro 3-ga Station Exit 10. Two friends shared white ragu pasta (₩18,000) and homemade Basque cheesecake (₩10,000) with glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon red and Chardonnay white (₩9,000 each), and the dim lighting made it easy to focus on conversation. With food this good, Chin & Nose is worth recommending for a date or a second round with friends.

I finally visited Euljiro, the trendy area people call "Hipjiro", and wow, it was SO crowded. It really is a hot spot, huh.. While looking for a good wine bar there, I found Chin & Nose (친앤노즈). It turned out to be well known among people hunting for a moody wine bar in Euljiro! Here's my honest review haha
Where is Chin & Nose and where to park
Chin & Nose is on the 3rd floor of a building at 122 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It's just 1 minute from Euljiro 3-ga Station Exit 10, so it's very easy to reach by public transport~ You walk up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

Parking is possible, but it's paid~ ₩4,500 for the first 30 minutes, ₩4,500 for each additional 30 minutes, max ₩100,000. You use the on-street public parking at Euljiro 3-ga Station. It's free on weekdays after 19:00, Saturdays after 15:00, and on public holidays and Sundays. But still, this is Seoul.. public transport seems more convenient!

Classic Euljiro mood: the atmosphere at Chin & Nose
The inside of Chin & Nose wasn't brightly lit, so the mood was calm. It suited the alley atmosphere that gives Euljiro its special character.

I came with a friend and it was easy to talk, and since lots of the other guests were couples, I thought it would work well as a date spot too. Isn't the vibe seriously hip?~
Chin & Nose menu and what to order for two
The menu is mainly Western-style dishes, and there are sweet desserts too, so it's perfect for a second round. And the selection of drinks is huge~!

[What two people ordered]
- White ragu pasta ₩18,000
- Homemade Basque cheesecake ₩10,000
- Cabernet Sauvignon red wine by the glass ₩9,000
- Chardonnay white wine by the glass ₩9,000
Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay by the glass: tasting notes
A nice cold glass of water~! The glasses were different sizes, which I thought was funny, so I took a photo haha

We each tried a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon red and the Chardonnay white, and both were easy to enjoy with the food. Between red and white, white is more my taste! My friend said the red was better, lol. Good thing we both liked what we ordered.

Above all, the atmosphere was great, and what I remember most is how the dark lighting made it easy to focus on our conversation~~ You know a dark place is good for a date, right? It makes you look prettier (?)

What does the white ragu pasta at Chin & Nose taste like?
I ordered Chin & Nose's white ragu pasta (₩18,000) because so many reviews said it was good. It's made with house-simmered beef and pork ragu in a cream base, and the flavor was clearly different from an ordinary cream pasta.

The noodles kept a nice chewy bite, which kept me satisfied the whole time, and I was quite impressed that they didn't turn mushy as time passed. haha Even though I was already full, it went down so easily!

It's topped with fried enoki mushrooms, which are crispy and go well with the pasta. They sort of bring out the texture, you know haha? Honestly I didn't expect much from wine bar food, but I'm officially admitting this is a bar with really tasty dishes!
Homemade Basque cheesecake: the must-order dessert
The homemade Basque cheesecake (₩10,000) I ordered for dessert was also better than I expected. Maybe because it's homemade, it melted so softly in my mouth, and it wasn't too sweet, so it went well with the wine too.

The Basque cheesecake I had at another wine bar before felt a bit dry, but this one was much moister and softer, so I was personally happier with it. My friend said it's the best cheesecake they've ever had, lol. And I agree! It's really soft, like cream.. so delicious. If you go to Chin & Nose, please try the cheesecake!!
Who is Chin & Nose best for?
Chin & Nose, an Euljiro wine bar, satisfied me on both atmosphere and food! The white ragu pasta and the Basque cheesecake in particular were so memorable that I'd order them again on a return visit, and the friendly service made the whole meal feel even more relaxed. I'd recommend it to couples or groups of friends who want a glass of wine in a quiet setting. That was my review of Chin & Nose, an Euljiro wine bar!
